Synopsis

For five hundred years, Gu Xiu suffered in the Forbidden Realm to secure the Sect’s destiny. He returned with a crippled cultivation and a broken body, only to find his position usurped by a new “genius” Junior Brother.
His Master ignored him. His Senior Sisters despised him. The Sect treated him like a leech.
Realizing his devotion was meaningless, Gu Xiu signed the Sect Severance Treaty, cutting all ties and karma with the Qingxuan Sacred Land.
He left with nothing but his pride. But he also took something with him: The Sect’s Providence (Luck).
Now, as Gu Xiu rebuilds his cultivation with ancient scriptures and defies the heavens, the Qingxuan Sect begins to crumble. Artifacts fail, heavenly tribulation strikes, and talents wither.
They finally realized their mistake. But when they came begging on their knees…
Gu Xiu only smiled coldly. “It is too late.”

Chapter 190: So… Shall We Call Him Junior Sister Jiang From Now On?

“Revenge… I want revenge! I will have revenge!”

“Ahhhhh! It hurts! It hurts!”

“In this life, I have never suffered such humiliation! I, Jiang Xun, swear upon my soul! I will hack that sword into ten thousand pieces! And its master…”

“I will pull out their tendons! I will flay their skin! I will refine their soul and erase their very existence from the cycle of reincarnation!”

“AHHHH!”

Inside the exquisite chambers of Jade Pill Peak, screams of agony mingled with roars of impotent fury. Outside the door, several of the Azure Mystic Sacred Land’s Supreme Personal Disciples stood in anxious silence, listening to their Junior Brother’s breakdown.

They could do nothing but wait.

“Junior Brother was fine this morning,” Lu Qingyao whispered, her face pale. “Why did he suddenly end up like this?”

“Third Senior Sister took him out,” Yuchi Chunlei replied, pacing nervously. “When they came back, he was covered in blood. She went straight in to treat him and hasn’t said a word about what they encountered.”

“Regardless of what they encountered,” Shi Siling said, her voice cold and sharp as a blade, “we must take swift and severe action. Whoever dared to injure Junior Brother must be executed.”

“Agreed,” Lu Qingyao nodded, her eyes flashing with killing intent. “Junior Brother has never suffered such injuries. He has never been this angry. We must make rivers of blood flow for this.”

The sisters exchanged looks of grim determination. They didn’t know the details, but they knew one thing:

Injuring their Junior Brother was a declaration of war against Azure Mystic.

Buzz.

The air rippled, and a figure appeared out of thin air. The sisters immediately bowed in unison.

“Master!”

It was Supreme Guan Xuelan. The disturbance had been great enough to rouse her from her secluded healing session. Her face was dark as a thundercloud.

“What happened? What is wrong with Jiang Xun?”

The disciples shook their heads, unable to answer. Fortunately, the screams inside the room finally began to subside into low, ragged sobbing. A moment later, the door creaked open.

Xu Wanqing stepped out.

She looked exhausted, her eyes red-rimmed with sorrow. Seeing her Master, she moved to bow, but Guan Xuelan waved her hand impatiently.

“Forget the formalities. How is Jiang Xun?”

Xu Wanqing did not dare delay. Her face twisted with grief as she delivered the news.

“Junior Brother… is severely injured.”

“He was struck by a flying sword. It severed his heart meridian.”

Severed heart meridian.

The four words hung heavy in the air. The disciples’ hearts sank.

Jiang Xun was talented, but his cultivation time was short. Although a Golden Core cultivator possessed the power to “turn decay into miraculous,” they were still bound by the mortal coil. The physical body remained their anchor.

For a Golden Core cultivator, a severed heart meridian might not cause instant death, but without perfect treatment, it was absolutely life-threatening. Even if he survived, his foundation could be ruined.

“I administered the Azure Mystic Heart-Protecting Pill immediately,” Xu Wanqing explained quickly. “It barely managed to sustain his vitality while I rushed him back to the Sect.”

“Fortunately, we were in time. Junior Brother is no longer in mortal danger. However, the injury is severe. He will need a long period of recuperation to fully recover.”

Hearing this, the sisters breathed a collective sigh of relief. The murderous tension in their shoulders relaxed slightly.

As long as he wasn’t dying, it was fine.

They had absolute faith in Xu Wanqing. No matter how heavy the injury, their Third Sister could fix it.

However…

Shi Siling frowned, noticing something off. “Third Senior Sister, since Junior Brother is out of danger, why do you still look so troubled? Is there… another problem?”

The question sucked the relief right out of the air. Yuchi Chunlei and Lu Qingyao stiffened again.

“Junior Brother is indeed safe from death,” Xu Wanqing stammered, looking away. “But… he has another injury…”

She hesitated for a long time, biting her lip, before finally whispering the truth.

“Junior Brother Jiang… may never be able to perform as a man again.”

What?

Silence descended on Jade Pill Peak. Absolute, stunned silence.

Even Supreme Guan Xuelan stood frozen, her expression blank.

Then, the uproar exploded.

“What did you say?!”

“How could this happen?”

“If Junior Brother finds out… can he even go on living?”

“Even you can’t fix it?”

The women crowded around Xu Wanqing, firing questions. They were cultivators, detached from many mortal concerns, but they understood exactly what this meant for a young man like Jiang Xun.

“That flying sword was extremely vicious,” Xu Wanqing explained, her voice trembling with sympathy. “It struck twice with clear intent. The first strike aimed for his heart but failed to kill him.”

“The second strike… was aimed specifically to cut off his descendants.”

She took a deep breath. “The blade left behind a strange, corrosive power. Although I can use my arts to reattach the flesh… I’m afraid it will only serve as a decoration.”

Purely ornamental.

Golden Core cultivators could regenerate limbs with enough time and precious materials. But that specific part was… complicated. It wasn’t just meat and bone; it was a complex convergence of nerves and essence. Xu Wanqing’s medical skills were superb, but she had never encountered a sword intent designed specifically for castration.

The Crossing Immortal Sword had done a thorough job.

The atmosphere became awkward.

“If it really can’t be fixed…” Yuchi Chunlei scratched her head, breaking the silence. “Should we just treat Junior Brother as a Junior Sister from now on?”

Shi Siling blinked, then nodded thoughtfully. “That… is also a solution.”

“So…” Lu Qingyao asked, her eyes wide with incredulity, “do we call him Junior Sister Jiang from now on?”

“You bunch of foolish idiots!”

Guan Xuelan finally snapped, her voice sharp as a whip. “Is this a question of titles? This is a question of his Dao Heart!”

The disciples flinched, suddenly realizing the gravity of the situation.

Right!

Jiang Xun was a proud man who cultivated an Invincible Dao Heart. If he woke up to find he had been forcibly transitioned from “Junior Brother” to “Junior Sister,” could his mental state survive the shock?

If his Dao Heart shattered, Jiang Xun’s future as a cultivator would be over.

It wasn’t about gender. It was about the collapse of his spiritual foundation.

“Is there really no way?” Guan Xuelan asked, her brow furrowed.

“This…” Xu Wanqing pondered. “I have never treated such an injury. I don’t know if it can be cured. But… we must try. However, the requirements for spiritual medicine will be extremely high.”

She didn’t have confidence, but she needed to give him hope.

The three other Senior Sisters immediately volunteered. “We will go out and search for medicines!”

They had a plan. Plan A: Cure him. Plan B: If medicine failed, they would help Junior Brother accept his new reality as a Junior Sister.

Anything to prevent his Dao Heart from shattering.

“Now,” Guan Xuelan said, her voice turning cold, “let’s talk about that sword.”

This was the priority.

A suspected Immortal-grade sword, operating without a master, had ambushed Jiang Xun, severely injured him, and escaped from right under Xu Wanqing’s nose.

This was no accident.

“I have been thinking about this,” Xu Wanqing said, lowering her voice. “Master, I suspect that Azure Mystic may be targeted by a Supreme.”

The temperature on the peak dropped.

First, the Sect’s Ancestral Tablet abandoned them. Now, an Immortal Sword attempts an assassination. These were not the actions of ordinary cultivators.

“I know,” Guan Xuelan said after a long silence. She nodded slowly. “Focus on gathering medicine for Jiang Xun. As for the rat hiding in the shadows… I will find a way to dig them out.”

A Supreme? Guan Xuelan was not afraid.

She had single-handedly pushed the Azure Mystic Sect to become a Sacred Land in 500 years. She feared no one.

Besides, her priority was recovering from her own injuries—injuries sustained in the Falling Rain Valley that only she knew the true extent of.

Seeing her Master’s dismissal, Xu Wanqing felt a spike of anxiety. “Master, we must not be careless. I feel that something is wrong with the Sect recently. Someone is laying a trap for us. We should focus all our attention on this!”

“Laying a trap? Who?” Lu Qingyao sneered. “Who has the guts? We are a Sacred Land. The sects around us are ants that can be crushed with a wave of a hand. No matter how much ants scheme, they cannot escape the boot.”

“Yes, Third Junior Sister,” Yuchi Chunlei added. “In the face of absolute strength, schemes are just jokes.”

Shi Siling didn’t even speak. She feared nothing.

Xu Wanqing looked at their arrogant faces and suddenly missed Qin Meran. Fifth Junior Sister was the only one who ever listened to reason. But Qin Meran was gone.

“Then the matter of the spiritual medicine will have to trouble you all,” Xu Wanqing sighed.

The group dispersed.

But Xu Wanqing could not shake the feeling of impending doom. After a moment of thought, she pulled out a communication jade slip and sent a ruthless order to her hidden network:

“Force Gu Xiu to appear by any means necessary. If he shows himself, execute him immediately!”

At the exact moment the message was sent.

Tens of thousands of miles away from the Azure Mystic Sacred Land.

A valley bloomed with eternal spring, filled with countless rare spiritual plants and fragrant flowers. This was the Awakening Spirit Valley.

Inside the Sect’s main hall, a voice filled with terrifying authority thundered:

“The remnants of the Shi Clan have violated their agreement with our Awakening Spirit Valley. They have committed a capital offense.”

“In five days, Awakening Spirit Valley will slaughter every last remnant of the Shi Clan to demonstrate fairness.”

“Hereby…”

“We announce this to the world!”
