Falling Star Moon Grasping Platform, atop Solitary Cloud Cliff.
The night sky was scrubbed clean, the galaxy a dazzling river of light. It felt as if one could simply reach out and pluck the cold, shimmering stars from the velvet darkness. Clouds and mist churned beneath their feet, creating an atmosphere indistinguishable from the immortal realm.
Zhou Kai stood upon a jutting boulder, his eyes half-closed. Specks of starlight danced around his body as he silently circulated the Starfall Myriad Manifestation Hammer technique, seeking to comprehend the stellar power descending from the nine heavens.
Fish Baibai, however, sat restlessly on his broad shoulder. Her legs swung back and forth, her small head tilted up, her large, dark eyes reflecting the starry expanse.
“Junior Brother, look! Look!” she suddenly squealed, pointing a small finger at a meteor streaking across the night. “Doesn’t that meteor’s tail look just like the handle of my Hundred Change Little Rabbit Hammer? The really long one!”
Zhou Kai’s carefully gathered wisp of stellar power shattered at her shout. His internal breath grew chaotic, and he opened his eyes with a sigh of helplessness.
“I finally got the clouds beneath my feet. Can’t you let me quiet my heart and comprehend this for a moment?”
Fish Baibai leaped lightly from his shoulder, puffing out her cheeks in dissatisfaction.
“Quiet what heart? Stargazing is only fun when it’s lively! Look at them blinking one by one—they look like they’re glaring at each other right before a gang fight! And that red one… it’s shining so bright, it must be their boss!”
With a flip of her small hand, her Lifebound Treasure, the Hundred Change Little Rabbit Hammer, materialized.
She hoisted the giant hammer onto her shoulder, her tiny silhouette chasing the trajectory of the fading meteor. She let out a lovely shout:
“Hah! You thieving star, don’t you dare run! Eat my hammer!”
Boom!
She actually swung the massive hammer, delivering a vicious air-slash toward the horizon where the meteor had vanished. A howling gust of wind ripped through the quiet night.
[Ding! Fish Baibai Affection +20!] [Fish Baibai Affection has reached maximum value. Reward: 100 Omni-Interaction Points!]
Fish Baibai hopped back, hammer resting on her shoulder, and tilted her face up to him.
“Junior Brother, was my hammer strike just now impressive? Did I scare that meteor away?”
In the blink of an eye, the monthly eruption of Spirit Essence at the Aurora Cave arrived.
Zhou Kai’s Lawless No Word Heavenly Scripture had already reached perfection in the first layer. His ability to absorb and refine Spirit Essence was leagues beyond his past self.
This time, sitting cross-legged at the core of the eruption, he calmly devoured and refined three full strands of pure Spirit Essence in a single breath!
As the three strands settled in his belly, Zhou Kai felt refreshed, his physique strengthening once more.
Just as he stepped out of the Aurora Cave, a disciple wearing Yantian Peak robes hurried over and bowed respectfully.
“Senior Uncle Zhou, the Young Master requests your presence.”
“The Young Master?” Zhou Kai nodded. “Lead the way.”
The disciple guided Zhou Kai through the winding paths of Yantian Peak, finally stopping at a location where the Spirit Qi was far denser than any ordinary cave abode.
Li Qiwen stood at the entrance, a welcoming smile on his face.
“Zhou Kai, you’ve arrived,” Li Qiwen said warmly. “You should come to Yantian Peak more often. I prepared this cave abode specifically for you. It’s fully stocked with cultivation resources. The Spirit Qi here on Yantian Peak is quite a bit stronger than Taiji Peak. If you don’t feel like going back, staying here permanently is fine too.”
Zhou Kai was confused by the sudden generosity but cupped his hands regardless. “Many thanks for the Young Master’s great favor.”
Li Qiwen patted him on the shoulder, grinning. “I have matters to attend to. Make yourself at home.”
With that, he turned and left.
Full of questions, Zhou Kai pushed open the heavy stone door.
A wave of delicate fragrance immediately washed over him. He passed through the front hall and into the inner sanctum.
Zhou Kai’s footsteps faltered. His expression turned instantly strange.
Inside, standing in neat, orderly rows, were fifteen stunningly beautiful women!
They varied in style—some curvaceous, some slender, some pure and lovely, others enchanting and seductive, and a few with a heroic, martial air. Every single one was a rare beauty.
They were all dressed in uniform sheer gauze robes that left just enough to the imagination to be maddening.
Seeing Zhou Kai enter, they moved in unison, sinking into graceful curtsies. Their voices, soft and sweet, chimed together:
“We, your handmaidens, greet our Master!”
Zhou Kai swept his Divine Sense over them.
These women possessed abundant, surging Primordial Yin energy. A natural fragrance lingered around their bodies, and their eyes held a hint of spring—a subtle, inviting allure.
Cultivation Vessels!
And not just any—fifteen high-quality, meticulously trained Cultivation Vessels!
The corner of Zhou Kai’s mouth twitched, but a fire ignited in his heart.
Good heavens! The Li siblings… ever since they found out I have the Creation Spirit Yang Body, they’ve really gone all out!
Li Qiwen, that handsome devil… he sent me fifteen partners straight up! This is… damn, he really knows how to do things!
Awesome! Truly awesome!
This feeling of being deliberately “fed” resources—and beauties—was simply too wonderful.
Zhou Kai’s gaze swept over the women, finally landing on one whose features bore a five or six-point resemblance to Chen Ziyi.
“What is your name?”
The woman curtsied softly. “Answering Master, this handmaiden is named Suyi.”
“Mm. From today on, you are their leader,” Zhou Kai declared.
“Thank you for Master’s grace!” Suyi bowed deeply.
The other fourteen women immediately turned and bowed to her. “We greet Sister Suyi.”
Zhou Kai stayed in the Yantian Peak cave abode for five full days and nights.
With a top-tier Dual Cultivation manual like the Universe Qi Unification Return to Truth Mysterious Canon, and the assistance of fifteen Primordial Yin-rich Cultivation Vessels, his cultivation soared like a rocket!
Specifically, his Body Cultivation realm, nourished by the massive amount of Yin energy, broke through directly to Bone Forging, Second Layer! His strength skyrocketed once again.
These five days were, quite literally, indescribably marvelous.
Upon returning to Taiji Peak, Zhou Kai spent some Omni-Interaction Points to upgrade Fish Baibai’s Water Spirit Root to High Grade.
A few days later, a newcomer arrived at Taiji Peak.
Her name was Xia Min. She wore a light purple high-waisted skirt and possessed a lovely face, though a faint air of arrogance lingered between her brows. Her cultivation was already at the first layer of Foundation Establishment.
She was the new personal maid Li Youci had recruited.
Fish Baibai’s explanation was simple: “The Young Miss said that since I started following you, I have less time to serve her, so she went and found another nimble-handed one.”
Zhou Kai sized Xia Min up. Although she seemed arrogant, her movements were disciplined and proper, suggesting specialized training. He didn’t pay it much mind.
Over the last twenty days, the atmosphere in Calamity Abyss Valley had grown increasingly tense.
Massive warships frequently streaked across the sky above the peaks, trailing roaring shockwaves. A suffocating pressure, like a storm about to break, hung over everyone’s hearts.
Only Taiji Peak remained peaceful.
Li Youci was in seclusion, only emerging when the Ghost Qi erupted.
On this day, Zhou Kai, Fish Baibai, the new maid Xia Min, and Gao Feiyang sat in the small pavilion outside Fish Baibai’s cave abode, sipping tea and chatting.
The text on the back of Gao Feiyang’s flashy cloak had changed again. It now read, in fourteen bold, arrogant characters:
“A Foundation Establishment Grand Expert Is Here, All Others Are Mere Ants”
It made Zhou Kai’s eye twitch just looking at it.
“Senior Brother Gao, the atmosphere in the sect feels wrong lately. Has the war already started?” Zhou Kai took a sip of tea and asked.
Gao Feiyang gulped down a large mouthful of tea and wiped his mouth.
“Junior Brother Zhou, you haven’t heard? Both the Righteous and Demonic paths have their fists clenched tight, knuckles cracking. They’re just waiting to see who loses patience first! I heard it’s all because of an ancient ruin discovered near Crouching Tiger Mountain!”
“Crouching Tiger Mountain ruins?” Zhou Kai was surprised. A ruin could trigger a full-scale war?
“Exactly!” Gao Feiyang’s expression turned solemn. “It is said the ruin holds heaven-shaking opportunities, enough to change the landscape of the entire Eastern Region! Our Li Family Patriarch, Senior Li Juefeng, and the Young Master have already led the sect’s main force to garrison Crouching Tiger Mountain. Not just us—all five major Righteous Sects have dispatched Nascent Soul Grand Cultivators to hold the line!”
Zhou Kai raised an eyebrow. “Then what about Taiji Peak? Why is there no movement here?”
Gao Feiyang spread his hands. “That, I don’t know. Perhaps… our battlefield isn’t at Crouching Tiger Mountain?”
Zhou Kai nodded thoughtfully. “Maybe when the Grand Miss comes out of seclusion, Taiji Peak will head to war.”
He turned to Xia Min. “Junior Sister Xia, you serve the Grand Miss. Do you know anything?”
Before she could answer, the Transmission Talisman in the Storage Bag at his waist began to flicker.
Zhou Kai took it out. It was from Ren Zhengze, a disciple of the Outer Sect Law Enforcement Hall.
Back when Li Youci had settled Chen Ziyi and the other three women in the Outer Sect, Zhou Kai had dealings with Ren Zhengze. Ren had said to contact him if the women encountered any trouble they couldn’t handle.
But now, Chen Ziyi and the others were already safe on Taiji Peak. What could happen?
“An Outer Sect Junior Brother is looking for me. Seems urgent.” Zhou Kai stood up. “I’ll go check it out.”
“If Junior Brother finds it troublesome, just drag out the Young Master’s name,” Fish Baibai advised.
Xia Min merely glanced at Zhou Kai indifferently and said nothing.
Gao Feiyang, however, wore an expression that craved chaos. “Junior Brother Zhou, if there’s a fight, you have to call me!”
“If there’s trouble I can’t handle, I’ll definitely ask for Senior Brother Gao’s help.”
With that, Zhou Kai summoned his escape light and flew straight toward the Outer Sect.
What happened? Could it be those two little ones, Fang Lizhe and Duan Tietang?
