Chapter 182: Wang Qiaoqiao Goes All Out! Wu Hongxiao Really Knows How to Seduce!
Zhou Kai looked at the two delicate maidservants, Chuntao and Xiahe, and felt a massive headache coming on.
He had instructed these two, along with the 15 other maidservants who were once Cultivation Vessels, to study the various Cultivation Arts.
Among them, five maids—including Suyi—had already begun to show genuine talent.
In alchemy, two of the girls could now proficiently purify spirit herbs. Their techniques were as smooth and efficient as any standard alchemy apprentice.
In artifact forging, two others could independently hammer and refine gold essence.
Even in the notoriously difficult field of Formations, Suyi, under Lin Zhiwei’s strict guidance, was already capable of refining the most basic Array Flags.
But Chuntao and Xiahe? Aside from making a little progress in their Qi Condensation cultivation base, they were completely hopeless. When it came to alchemy, forging, talismans, or formations, they were utterly incompetent!
The reason Zhou Kai had left these two untouched for so long wasn’t because they lacked beauty. Far from it. He had much deeper, pragmatic considerations.
It was all for the System points and future resources!
He wanted to lock down a specific type of System point to plan for his future advancement.
As for sleeping with them first and then forcibly boosting their skills with his existing points?
Impossible!
Zhou Kai’s mind was as clear as a polished mirror.
It didn’t matter that he currently possessed a terrifying amount of alchemy and forging interaction points—his forging points alone had already exceeded 10,000. He knew the harsh reality of Cultivation. Once a Cultivator reached the Third Grade of any art, every subsequent advancement was an insurmountable barrier. It was no longer about practice; it was about touching upon the very laws of the “Dao”!
These two women had been bought by Wang Qiaoqiao from outside Calamity Abyss Valley. They came from two declining Qi Condensation minor families. To put it bluntly, their clans were ruined, and the girls had been sold off like cattle just to trade for resources.
I’ll give them another year, Zhou Kai decided silently. If they still can’t make a breakthrough in the Hundred Arts by then, I’ll just take them as they are.
With that thought, he waved his hand, signaling the two maids to withdraw.
Chuntao and Xiahe trembled. The meticulously applied makeup on their faces lost all its luster. Their eyes dimmed as if they had just watched the grand doors of the Great Dao slam shut right in their faces.
Wang Qiaoqiao saw all of this. Her ambitions were far greater than those of the Chen sisters or even Lin Zhiwei.
Steeling her heart, she bit her luscious red lip and leaned in close to Zhou Kai. Her breath was warm and fragrant, like blooming orchids, tickling his ear as she whispered in a voice as soft as a mosquito’s hum: “Darling Zhou, I… even if it’s the back… I can do that too…”
The raw determination mixed with overwhelming shyness in her tone caught Zhou Kai slightly off guard. A second later, he chuckled softly.
This girl. To secure her position and keep him hooked, she had actually resorted to offering that.
He reached out and gently pinched Wang Qiaoqiao’s perky nose, then flicked it affectionately. “Silly girl. You are my Dao Companion, my brilliant little money pouch. How could I ever abandon you?”
Wang Qiaoqiao’s tense body instantly melted into his arms. The deep anxiety on her face evaporated, replaced by an undiluted wave of joy and bashfulness.
Still, her bold offer had actually piqued Zhou Kai’s interest.
He really hadn’t explored that particular path yet.
“This three days, I’ll be staying at your place!”
…
Three full months had passed since the brutal execution of Yun Kang.
During these three months, aside from spending a rather intense three-day retreat at Wang Qiaoqiao’s place, Zhou Kai spent the rest of his time engaging in diligent “Dual Cultivation” with Chen Ziyi, Lin Zhiwei, Shen Hanyi, and Li Youci.
He summoned his System Panel.
[Zhou Kai] [Cultivation: Foundation Establishment Seventh Layer (3396/)] [Vitality: Bone Forging Seventh Layer (1963/)] [Comprehension: 8700] [Comprehension Points:]
Zhou Kai did the math. As long as he cultivated the Lawless No Word Heavenly Scripture to the third layer, and assuming he wasn’t constantly interrupted by sect politics, he could reach the Golden Core realm within five years!
The thought made his heart swell with heroic ambition.
“System, max out my Comprehension!”
[Ding! Consumed Comprehension Points! Comprehension has reached the Second Realm’s maximum value. Cannot increase further!]
The System’s sudden prompt made Zhou Kai freeze.
[Zhou Kai] [Comprehension:] [Comprehension Points: 6700]
Comprehension actually has a hard cap? And it’s divided by realms? This was a major new discovery.
He would have to consult Li Youci about this later. She came from a top-tier noble background and possessed extensive knowledge of high-level cultivation secrets.
But right now, he had more pressing matters.
With a thought, he allocated the remaining 6,700 Comprehension Points directly to Li Youci. That amount was more than enough to push her understanding of the Delusional Dao Cicada Scripture to the next level.
Done with his upgrades, Zhou Kai blurred into motion, heading straight for Wu Hongxiao’s residence.
It was extremely strange.
For three full months, the martial-obsessed woman had seemingly vanished off the face of the earth.
She hadn’t come to spar with him. She hadn’t brought over wine. She hadn’t asked him to forge artifacts. It was as if she had completely forgotten about the whole ‘owing him three lives’ agreement.
Hiding? You think you can hide from me? Arriving outside Wu Hongxiao’s courtyard, Zhou Kai raised a hand and knocked on the defensive Restriction. “Wu Junior Sister, Zhou Kai is here to visit!” he called out.
The Restriction flashed with a soft light, and the courtyard door creaked open.
Zhou Kai stepped inside and immediately locked eyes with Wu Hongxiao, who was standing dead center in the yard.
Then, he stopped dead in his tracks, utterly stunned.
The Wu Hongxiao standing before him was not wearing her signature practical, battle-ready attire.
Instead… she was wearing a skin-tight suit of black leather armor that perfectly accentuated every curve of her waist, giving her an aura of raw, wild beauty.
Yet, bizarrely, draped over this combat leather was a sheer, water-red gauze skirt.
The skirt had an outrageously high slit. As the gentle breeze swept through the courtyard, the fabric fluttered, revealing tantalizing flashes of her long, toned legs.
Loosely wrapped around her waist was a reddish-gold chain, from which her signature wine gourd hung, swaying gently with her movements.
The outfit was a paradox. It was pure yet seductive, fiercely cool yet undeniably alluring. The styles clashed violently, yet the combination was so breathtakingly gorgeous that Zhou Kai couldn’t look away.
She looked incredibly uncomfortable. One hand awkwardly tugged at the hem of her skirt, and her toes curled uneasily in her boots.
A deep crimson blush crept from the base of her neck all the way to the tips of her ears, burning so hot it looked as if she might drip blood.
This tomboy… had clearly spent hours meticulously dressing up for him!
Seeing Zhou Kai staring, Wu Hongxiao violently shook her silver spear. Buzz! The spear tip leveled directly at the center of Zhou Kai’s brow, though the shaft was trembling slightly in her grip.
“Zhou Kai!” she barked, forcing her voice to stay calm, though the tension was palpable. “Didn’t you say you were going to force yourself on me? Well? Why are you only coming now? I’ve been waiting at home for you for three damn months!”
Before her words even faded, she let out a fierce battle cry and charged forward, her spear a flash of deadly silver light!
Zhou Kai laughed heartily. He didn’t bother dodging.
Just as the razor-sharp tip was inches from his forehead, his figure flickered. He reappeared instantly at Wu Hongxiao’s side, his right hand shooting out like a viper to clamp around her wrist.
Wu Hongxiao’s eyes went wide. She tried to yank her spear back to defend, but found her wrist locked in place, as if welded by an iron vice.
“Let go!” Unfazed, she pivoted. Her left fist, wrapped in a gale of crushing force, rocketed straight toward Zhou Kai’s temple.
Zhou Kai gave a disdainful sneer. His left hand moved a fraction of a second later, yet arrived first, effortlessly catching her incoming fist in his palm.
The two immense forces collided, yet there was no thunderous boom. Wu Hongxiao felt the entirety of her punch’s momentum vanish without a trace, like a clay ox sinking into the ocean. The rebounding shockwave instantly numbed her entire arm.
Gritting her silver teeth in a mix of shame and fury, she lashed out with a devastating whip kick, aiming to sweep Zhou Kai’s legs out from under him.
Zhou Kai didn’t retreat. He stepped forward, allowing her ankle—carrying thousands of pounds of force—to slam directly into his hip.
Thud.
A dull sound echoed. Zhou Kai remained as immovable as a mountain peak. Wu Hongxiao, however, was jolted backward, her balance completely shattered by the recoil.
“Is this all the strength you have?” Zhou Kai teased. His free hand snaked down and easily caught the ankle of her kicking leg.
Skin touched skin. It was warm, incredibly smooth, and astonishingly soft.
“Ah!”
Wu Hongxiao cried out in alarm. With one leg trapped in the air, she lost her balance entirely and tumbled backward.
Zhou Kai pulled her in smoothly, scooping her up horizontally into a bridal carry. Ignoring her indignant shrieks and frantic struggles, he strode purposefully toward the bedroom.
“Bastard! Let me go! Zhou Kai, I’ll kill you!”
Wu Hongxiao thrashed wildly in his arms, raining punches and kicks against his chest. But to the current Zhou Kai, her attacks felt like nothing more than a lover’s tickle.
Bang! Zhou Kai kicked the bedroom door open.
He tossed her onto the soft bed and loomed over her, his shadow cast across her body.
Those fierce eyes of hers, which usually burned with an unquenchable thirst for battle, were now shimmering with unshed tears, swimming in a intoxicating mix of shame and indignation.
…
Hours later.
Wu Hongxiao lay completely limp against the sheets. Her body was drenched in fragrant sweat, and stray locks of her hair clung to her flushed cheeks and back.
She turned her head to look at Zhou Kai. He was lying beside her, looking thoroughly satisfied, gently rubbing the fresh bite marks she had left on his neck.
She swallowed hard, her voice trembling with sheer disbelief. “Zhou Kai… I never thought you’d actually sleep with your bro!”
Zhou Kai chuckled deeply. “Hongxiao, are you only realizing this now? Your teeth are much softer than your fists.”
Wu Hongxiao’s face burned a furious, magnificent red. Finding a second wind of energy from somewhere, she suddenly rolled over and straddled him. The corners of her eyes were heavy with a seductive, craving hunger, having finally tasted the marrow of pleasure.
“Shut up!” she growled fiercely. “I’m not satisfied yet. Again!”
