Chapter 254: Good Brother, Are You Satisfied with Our Service?
When Han Lie suggested moving to a more private location, Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan didn’t hesitate. Their eyes practically glowed with hunger.
It had been too long since they last enjoyed Han Lie’s favor. The ache of longing had left them empty, and the promise of intimacy—combined with the adrenaline of their potential promotion—was an intoxicant they couldn’t resist. They practically dragged him out of the Vermilion Bird Squad headquarters, abandoning their duties without a backward glance.
Several days later.
Inside the master bedroom of Zhuo Hongyi’s private residence, the air was thick with the scent of musk and spiritual orchid.
Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan lay nestled against Han Lie’s chest, one on each side, like satiated cats basking in the sun. Their cheeks were flushed a deep, rosy pink, and the contented smiles playing on their lips spoke volumes of the past few days.
As Han Lie’s cultivation base had skyrocketed, the potency of his Pure Yang Sacred Body had only grown more terrifying. Even after going three hundred rounds with Grand Elder Chi Lian, he still possessed a vigor that was peerless. Facing the combined efforts of the two Law Enforcement disciples, he had utterly conquered them, leaving them limp and submissive in his arms.
“Good Brother…” Zhuo Hongyi traced lazy circles on his chest with a slender finger, her voice husky and sweet. “Were you satisfied with how Senior Sister Qin and I served you?”
“Hahaha! Absolutely satisfied.”
Han Lie laughed, stroking their hair. His mood was excellent.
Although his cultivation was now far superior to theirs—meaning the gains he received from dual cultivation were negligible—the psychological satisfaction was immense. This was the “blessing of gathered flowers,” a rare delight for any man.
He realized this was only the second time he had enjoyed two partners at once. The last time, if he remembered correctly, had been with Zhuo Hongyi and Su Mei.
At the thought of Su Mei, Han Lie’s mind drifted.
That little girl has been back at her clan for a few years now, hasn’t she? I wonder how her cultivation is progressing.
He remembered the letter Su Mei had left him. She had returned to her family because she feared falling behind, afraid she would become invisible next to his rising star.
I should find an opportunity to ask Hall Master Su Meiyu about her, he resolved silently.
Shaking off the nostalgia, Han Lie tightened his embrace and looked at the two women. “Now that we’ve properly relaxed… let’s talk business. Regarding the new Hall Master position.”
Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan instantly perked up, their ears practically twitching with attention.
“Little Qingqing, Senior Sister Qin,” Han Lie said, his tone turning serious but affectionate. “You submitted a joint application, correct? Well, I discussed it at length with Grand Elder Chi Lian. Among all the applicants, your proposal was the most solid.”
He paused, letting the anticipation build.
“The Grand Elder asked for my opinion, and I gave it. She has made the final decision: You two will take over the Overlord Hall.”
“R-Really?!”
Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan bolted upright, the sheets falling away to reveal their stunned, beautiful forms. Their faces were masks of pure, incredulous joy.
“Have I ever lied to you?” Han Lie smiled.
“Hahaha! That’s wonderful! Senior Sister Qin!”
“Mmh! I can’t believe it! We actually did it!”
Seeing the sincerity in Han Lie’s eyes, the two women screamed with delight. They threw themselves back onto him, burying him in a flurry of kisses and joyful tears.
For them, this was the pinnacle. They didn’t have Han Lie’s monstrous talent; they couldn’t expect to ascend to the Elder Council overnight. Becoming a Hall Master and Deputy Hall Master was the ceiling of their ambition, a height they had only dreamed of reaching after centuries of service. To achieve it now, while still young, meant they wielded status and power that rivaled the old monsters of the sect.
“Alright, alright! Calm down!” Han Lie laughed, wiping saliva from his cheek. “I’m drowning here!”
He understood their excitement. When he had first ascended to the Council, he had felt the same trembling mix of ecstasy and terror—he just hid it better.
“Listen to me,” Han Lie said, his voice firming up. “Although there is still a formal vote in the Elder Council, with Chi Lian backing it, the outcome is set. It’s just a formality. You should start preparing your transition now. The Overlord Hall is a mess; cleaning it up will be your first test.”
“Yes!”
“We will start planning immediately!” Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan chorused, their eyes burning with determination.
Han Lie nodded. “There is one more thing. Something I want to give you formally.”
“What is it, Good Brother?” The women looked at him with confusion.
Han Lie sat up, wrapping his arms around their shoulders again. “I want to thank you. In my early years, when I was nothing, you two helped me immensely. Without your support, my path would have been far rockier. I have never properly repaid that debt.”
He waved his hand.
“So, I borrowed a divine ability from the Elder Council’s Scripture Repository. Consider it a small token of my gratitude. I hope you won’t disdain it.”
Hum.
With a thought, a jade slip materialized in the air, glowing with a soft, ethereal light. The characters for Heavenly Maiden Scattering Flowers floated above it.
“You… Han Lie!”
Zhuo Hongyi looked at the floating manual, torn between shock and amusement. “Good Brother, you really didn’t have to! If we’re talking about gratitude, haven’t you been repaying us this whole time? Just look at what you did for us just now!”
“Junior Sister HongYi is right,” Qin Lan added, though her gaze was glued to the jade slip. “But… since it is your heartfelt intention, we will accept it.”
Their hearts were pounding. To date, neither of them had learned a true Divine Ability—not even a Low Grade one. In the cultivation world, Divine Abilities were luxuries reserved for the elite or those with massive contributions.
Even within the Heavenly Void Sect, access to such techniques was strictly controlled. Learning Heavenly Maiden Scattering Flowers would elevate their combat potential to an entirely new tier. It was a gift of immeasurable value.
“Haha, it’s a small thing,” Han Lie said casually. “Just remember, once you’ve mastered it, return the slip to me. I have to put it back in the archives.”
Zhuo Hongyi and Qin Lan nodded vigorously, treating the floating jade like a holy relic.
The next day.
Han Lie bid a reluctant farewell to the two new mistresses of the Overlord Hall. He made his way to the Spirit Treasure Hall.
It was time to visit Xiao Qingge.
When Xiao Qingge saw him, she practically vibrated with excitement. She didn’t just greet him; she claimed him. She linked her arm through his and paraded him through the Spirit Treasure Hall, showing him off to every Senior Brother and Sister she could find.
And honestly? It worked.
In the past, Han Lie had been a nobody, and such a display would have been laughable. But now? He was the youngest Elder in the history of the Heavenly Void Sect, the man who had crushed the Overlord Hall and stood at the right hand of the Grand Elder.
To have a connection with Han Lie was a golden ticket. He was the sun, and Xiao Qingge was basking in his light, letting everyone know exactly who she belonged to.
