Synopsis

“They meditate for enlightenment. I audit for efficiency.”
Sun Yi, a top-tier scientist from Earth, transmigrates into the body of a lowly servant disciple in the Qingyun Sect. His start is a nightmare: he has trash-tier Spirit Roots, no background, and the sect itself is on the brink of bankruptcy, surrounded by hostile warlords.
In a world where strength is everything, Sun Yi realizes the Elders have it all wrong. A sect isn’t a family; it’s a corporation. And the Qingyun Sect is failing because of bad management.
Using modern business strategies and scientific knowledge, Sun Yi stages a “hostile takeover” to become the new Sect Leader (CEO). He doesn’t rely on luck or destiny; he relies on Capital.
His Reform Plan:
The “Pay-to-Win” Strategy: Why meditate for ten years when you can burn 500 million points of resources to level up in a week? Time is money.
R&D Revolution: Can’t use Divine Sense in the Forbidden Forest? Invent a “Spirit Plate” (Radar) to loot resources while others are flying blind.
Financial Leverage: Introduce “Sect Loans” and “Performance KPIs” to turn lazy disciples into hyper-productive employees.
Hostile Takeovers: Why risk your own life in war? Use the sect’s profits to outsource violence and hire high-level mercenaries to wipe out rival sects.
Watch Sun Yi turn a crumbling sect into a cultivation empire, proving that with enough funding, even a trash talent can defy the Heavens.
Welcome to Cultivation, Inc. We are now open for business.

What to expect:
Smart / Rational MC: The MC treats cultivation like a business project. No brainless arrogance.
Kingdom / Sect Building: Detailed management of resources, personnel, and expansion.
Weak-to-Strong (via Resources): The MC starts weak but becomes OP by “eating” resources like candy.
Tech meets Magic: Creating radars (Spirit Plates), assembly lines, and modern concepts in a Xianxia world.
No Harem: The MC is married to the grind (and the Sect’s GDP).
Face-Slapping: But done with logic, money, and policy changes rather than just fists.

Chapter 124: The Evil Spirit Valley’s Conspiracy

Having automated the Sect’s logistics, Sun Yi dove back into debugging the Formation path. He ran his eight divine souls in parallel, redlining his processing power. Fueled by a limitless supply of high-grade Bodhi tea, the real-time feedback from Elder Ye Luo, and vast archives of senior data, his rate of progression was genuinely terrifying.

Unbeknownst to Sun Yi, a fatal security breach had already occurred. The absence of Patriarch Qingxuan had been exposed, and a crisis was quietly closing in on the Qingyun Sect.

Deep within the central hall of the Evil Spirit Valley, the Valley Master sat upon the main seat. He was a middle-aged man dripping with a sinister aura, his blood-red eyes exuding an eerie, unnatural pressure as he swept his gaze over the rows of Golden Core powerhouses below.

“I have just received a transmission from our assets in the Seven Star Tower,” the Valley Master rasped. “There is indeed a vulnerability within the Qingyun Sect. That old fossil, Qingxuan, is not currently within their borders.”

“What? Qingxuan is gone?” an Elder gasped. “He is their sole Nascent Soul powerhouse! To abandon the Sect at a time like this… is he not worried about their total collapse?”

“Hehe, no wonder they locked down their mountain gate recently. So it was because the old man wasn’t holding the fort!”

“Valley Master, since the old thing is gone, is this not the perfect opportunity to deal with the Qingyun Sect?”

“Correct! Let us strike now!” another Elder barked. “Ever since that whelp Sun Yi usurped the Headmaster seat, their development has been far too aggressive. Now that they are allied with the Seven Star Tower, they will become a severe threat to our dominance.”

“Indeed. According to the intel, the Qingyun Sect just purchased a massive shipment of Supplies from the Tower. They are ripe for the taking.”

The Golden Core Elders leered, their eyes burning with pure greed and warlike fervor.

However, the Valley Master simply shook his head. “Your vision is too shallow. Do you honestly believe that without Qingxuan, the Qingyun Sect becomes a soft persimmon to be slaughtered at will?”

“Their mountain-protecting grand Formation is not for show. It is a 4th-grade array capable of tanking the wrath of a Nascent Soul powerhouse.”

“But Valley Master,” a black-robed Elder argued slowly. “As long as we are willing to pay the price in blood and resources, brute-forcing that Formation and slaughtering our way inside is not impossible. I say we strike while Qingxuan is away!”

“I agree!”

Several Golden Core Elders nodded, desperate to annihilate the Qingyun Sect. If the Sect fell, its vast resources would naturally fall into their pockets.

They all knew the Qingyun Sect was a former superpower from the Eastern Commandery. During its golden age, the Sect boasted more than 10 Nascent Soul powerhouses. Although it had declined and fled to the Chaos Demon Commandery, the Elders assumed the Sect still hoarded the wealth of its glorious past.

They were completely unaware that the Qingyun Sect was nearly bankrupt when it fled, and its current boom in capital was entirely funded by Sun Yi’s Myriad Demon Forest grinding operation.

The Valley Master looked at the rabid dogs below him with calm disdain. “Have any of you considered the karma of such an act?”

“What consequences could there be?” the crowd asked, puzzled.

The red light in the Valley Master’s eyes flared. “If you obliterate his Sect, what is left to restrain the old man? When a Nascent Soul powerhouse goes mad with grief and has nothing left to lose, who among you will stop him?”

A chill swept through the hall.

“Destroying the Sect is easy. Surviving the old man’s vengeance is the true test. When he returns and finds his legacy in ashes, what do you think will happen? Are you eager to be hunted by a Nascent Soul cultivator?”

The Valley Master sneered. “Unless you intend to cower inside this Valley for the rest of your miserable lives, do not provoke him. Unless we can kill Qingxuan first, the Qingyun Sect is untouchable.”

Reason returned to the Golden Core powerhouses. No amount of loot was worth courting death at the hands of a grieving Nascent Soul god.

“However,” the Valley Master smiled smugly, “we can still leverage this opening. The Black Wind Stockade has been sniffing around for Qingyun intel. Let us extend a hand of charity.”

“Marvelous!” a Golden Core Elder immediately praised. “To sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight! A divine strategy, Valley Master!”

“Elder Lu,” the Valley Master addressed a red-robed cultivator. “I trust I do not need to instruct you on how to leak this intel to the Black Wind Stockade?”

“Rest assured, Valley Master. I shall execute this flawlessly!” Elder Lu replied with supreme confidence.

“Good. Dismissed. Continue to monitor the Black Wind Stockade, and keep the channels with the Seven Star Tower open.”

“Understood!”

The Valley Master had spent a fortune bribing a mole within the Seven Star Tower. This inside source had verified his suspicions: the Qingyun Sect’s sudden lockdown was a direct result of Patriarch Qingxuan’s absence.

The Evil Spirit Valley moved efficiently. Before long, the critical intel was ‘inadvertently’ dropped into the lap of the Black Wind Stockade.

In the Central Great Hall of the Black Wind Stockade, Wen Sha immediately summoned his Golden Core Elders. Upon hearing the news, the room erupted into wild, fervent excitement.

“Excellent! The Heavens have blessed us!”

“Hehe! That old fool Qingxuan actually dared to abandon his post! No wonder they cowered behind their gates!”

“Hmph! Do they think a mere 4th-grade Formation can save them from our wrath?”

“Headmaster, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Mobilize the troops immediately and attack the Qingyun Sect!”

“They dared slaughter our disciples! They must repay this blood debt with blood!”

The bloodlust in the hall reached a boiling point. Yet, Wen Sha sat upon his throne, his brow deeply furrowed. He did not issue the order to attack.

“Silence!” Wen Sha barked. “Can any of you verify the authenticity of this intel?”

The roaring Elders instantly fell silent.

“We cannot march to war on a whisper,” Wen Sha said coldly. “We must confirm that Qingxuan has left the Sect. If we charge their gates blindly, we are simply courting death.”

Wen Sha was right. Their own Nascent Soul Patriarch was currently in Secluded Cultivation and could not mobilize. If this was a trap and Qingxuan was waiting inside, they would be marching into a slaughterhouse.
