Synopsis

“They meditate for enlightenment. I audit for efficiency.”
Sun Yi, a top-tier scientist from Earth, transmigrates into the body of a lowly servant disciple in the Qingyun Sect. His start is a nightmare: he has trash-tier Spirit Roots, no background, and the sect itself is on the brink of bankruptcy, surrounded by hostile warlords.
In a world where strength is everything, Sun Yi realizes the Elders have it all wrong. A sect isn’t a family; it’s a corporation. And the Qingyun Sect is failing because of bad management.
Using modern business strategies and scientific knowledge, Sun Yi stages a “hostile takeover” to become the new Sect Leader (CEO). He doesn’t rely on luck or destiny; he relies on Capital.
His Reform Plan:
The “Pay-to-Win” Strategy: Why meditate for ten years when you can burn 500 million points of resources to level up in a week? Time is money.
R&D Revolution: Can’t use Divine Sense in the Forbidden Forest? Invent a “Spirit Plate” (Radar) to loot resources while others are flying blind.
Financial Leverage: Introduce “Sect Loans” and “Performance KPIs” to turn lazy disciples into hyper-productive employees.
Hostile Takeovers: Why risk your own life in war? Use the sect’s profits to outsource violence and hire high-level mercenaries to wipe out rival sects.
Watch Sun Yi turn a crumbling sect into a cultivation empire, proving that with enough funding, even a trash talent can defy the Heavens.
Welcome to Cultivation, Inc. We are now open for business.

What to expect:
Smart / Rational MC: The MC treats cultivation like a business project. No brainless arrogance.
Kingdom / Sect Building: Detailed management of resources, personnel, and expansion.
Weak-to-Strong (via Resources): The MC starts weak but becomes OP by “eating” resources like candy.
Tech meets Magic: Creating radars (Spirit Plates), assembly lines, and modern concepts in a Xianxia world.
No Harem: The MC is married to the grind (and the Sect’s GDP).
Face-Slapping: But done with logic, money, and policy changes rather than just fists.

Chapter 169: The War Hall’s Edge (Part 2)

Zhao Lun stared at the arrogant faces of the Zhou Family cultivators. His eyes were cold enough to freeze water.

“So you admit it,” he said softly. “You released demon beasts into a mortal city. You watched them eat children. And now you demand compensation?”

The Zhou leader, a Late-Foundation Establishment cultivator, sneered. “They are just mortals. Fodder for our beasts. You killed my property. Pay me 50,000 Spirit Stones, or I’ll sell you all to the mines.”

He glanced dismissively at Zhao Lun’s team. Two Early-Foundation Establishment, three Qi Refining cultivators. Trash. He didn’t even bother to raise his guard.

“Fine,” Zhao Lun said. “I’ll pay you.”

He flew forward, closing the distance to a hundred meters.

Then, his aura exploded.

“Kill them all!”

The Zhou cultivators laughed. “You? Kill us? You’re dreaming!”

The leader opened his mouth to mock them further, but his words died in his throat.

SHING!

Five flying swords shot out of Zhao Lun’s body. They weren’t standard issue; they were Second-Rank, Ninth-Grade masterpieces, gleaming with cold, lethal light.

“Second-Rank Ninth-Grade?!” the leader gasped. Even he didn’t own such treasures.

“Five Gates: Open!”

Zhao Lun didn’t give them time to think. His True Qi surged, fueling the Five Elements Sword Art. The five swords spun, their energies merging into a single, blinding rainbow of destruction.

“Five Swords Union!”

The rainbow beam tore through the sky.

The Zhou leader panicked. He threw up a defensive disc, conjuring a thick shield of light. “You think an Early-stage ant can break my defense?”

CRACK!

The rainbow beam hit the shield. There was no resistance. The shield shattered like sugar glass.

The beam punched through the leader’s chest, sending him plummeting to the earth, screaming.

Before the Zhou team could process the shock, Zhao Lun vanished.

Wind Thunder Step.

He reappeared behind a Mid-Foundation Establishment cultivator.

BAM!

A fist wreathed in lightning smashed the cultivator’s True Qi shield. Zhao Lun followed up with a golden sword strike that took the man’s head off.

It was a massacre.

Zhao Lun’s teammates joined the fray. The other Early-Foundation Establishment disciple unleashed his own Five Elements volley, shredding two enemies instantly. Even the Qi Refining disciples fought like demons, their superior techniques allowing them to overwhelm their opponents.

In ten seconds, nine of the ten Zhou cultivators were dead.

Only the leader survived, lying in the ruins of the city, bleeding from a chest wound. He watched the slaughter with eyes wide with terror.

How? They are lower realm… how are they so strong?

Zhao Lun descended, hovering over him like an executioner.

“You fed people to demon beasts,” Zhao Lun said, raising his sword. “You deserve death.”

“No! Wait!” The leader scrabbled backward in the dirt. “I am from the Zhou Family! We have three Golden Core Ancestors! If you kill me, they will hunt you down!”

“I don’t care who you are,” Zhao Lun said. “Today, you die.”

“STOP!”

A roar thundered from the horizon. A terrifying pressure descended—the aura of a Golden Core cultivator.

“Grandfather!” the leader screamed, hope flooding his face. “Save me! Kill this maniac!”

He looked at Zhao Lun with a twisted grin. “You’re dead now! My grandfather is here! I’ll make you suffer for—”

SPLAT.

Zhao Lun didn’t hesitate. He didn’t flinch. He simply dropped his sword.

The blade pierced the leader’s skull, pinning him to the ground. The smug grin froze on his dead face.

“I said you would die,” Zhao Lun muttered. “No matter who comes.”

“BASTARD!”

The approaching Golden Core Ancestor saw his grandson die. His roar shook the clouds. “I will skin you alive!”

Zhao Lun signaled his team. Go.

Then he turned to the oncoming streak of light and shouted, “Old dog! I killed your grandson! Catch me if you can!”

He slapped a high-grade speed talisman onto his chest.

ZOOOM!

Zhao Lun shot away like a meteor, leading the enraged Golden Core Ancestor away from the city and his teammates.
