Synopsis

“They meditate for enlightenment. I audit for efficiency.”
Sun Yi, a top-tier scientist from Earth, transmigrates into the body of a lowly servant disciple in the Qingyun Sect. His start is a nightmare: he has trash-tier Spirit Roots, no background, and the sect itself is on the brink of bankruptcy, surrounded by hostile warlords.
In a world where strength is everything, Sun Yi realizes the Elders have it all wrong. A sect isn’t a family; it’s a corporation. And the Qingyun Sect is failing because of bad management.
Using modern business strategies and scientific knowledge, Sun Yi stages a “hostile takeover” to become the new Sect Leader (CEO). He doesn’t rely on luck or destiny; he relies on Capital.
His Reform Plan:
The “Pay-to-Win” Strategy: Why meditate for ten years when you can burn 500 million points of resources to level up in a week? Time is money.
R&D Revolution: Can’t use Divine Sense in the Forbidden Forest? Invent a “Spirit Plate” (Radar) to loot resources while others are flying blind.
Financial Leverage: Introduce “Sect Loans” and “Performance KPIs” to turn lazy disciples into hyper-productive employees.
Hostile Takeovers: Why risk your own life in war? Use the sect’s profits to outsource violence and hire high-level mercenaries to wipe out rival sects.
Watch Sun Yi turn a crumbling sect into a cultivation empire, proving that with enough funding, even a trash talent can defy the Heavens.
Welcome to Cultivation, Inc. We are now open for business.

What to expect:
Smart / Rational MC: The MC treats cultivation like a business project. No brainless arrogance.
Kingdom / Sect Building: Detailed management of resources, personnel, and expansion.
Weak-to-Strong (via Resources): The MC starts weak but becomes OP by “eating” resources like candy.
Tech meets Magic: Creating radars (Spirit Plates), assembly lines, and modern concepts in a Xianxia world.
No Harem: The MC is married to the grind (and the Sect’s GDP).
Face-Slapping: But done with logic, money, and policy changes rather than just fists.

Chapter 157: Geniuses Can Now Be Mass-Produced

“Greetings, Headmaster. Greetings, Patriarchs. Greetings, Elders.”

Zhang Yuan led the War Hall disciples forward, bowing with crisp, military precision. Although the faces of Ouyang Can and the others were unfamiliar, the disciples trusted Sun Yi implicitly. If the Headmaster brought them here, they were allies.

Sun Yi smiled and waved a hand. “At ease. These are Patriarch Ouyang Can and Patriarch Xia Mu, our newest Nascent Soul pillars. And these are Elder Ouyang Zhong and Elder Xia Xing. Treat them with the same respect you show Patriarch Qingxuan.”

“Understood!”

The disciples turned and bowed again, their voices thundering in unison. “Greetings to the Patriarchs! Greetings to the Elders!”

“Hahaha! Good! Excellent spirit!” Ouyang Can nodded, stroking his beard. He could feel the vigor radiating from these young cultivators. They weren’t just strong; they were disciplined.

Xia Mu looked equally pleased. “A fine crop of seedlings.”

“You may return to your duties,” Sun Yi dismissed the disciples. He turned to the newcomers. “Those are the elites of the War Hall. Every member has passed the Heart Questioning Array. Their loyalty is absolute. Currently, only War Hall disciples have priority access to the Five Gates technique.”

“A wise policy,” Ouyang Can agreed immediately. “When my clan arrives, treat them the same. No special privileges. Let them prove themselves.”

“Enough about rules,” Patriarch Qingxuan cut in, his eyes gleaming with impatience. “Sun Yi, show them the towers.”

He pointed to the two looming structures in the center of the underground palace.

“Of course. Follow me.”

Sun Yi led them to the base of the first tower.

“We call these the Demon Refining Towers. They are a hybrid device, fusing techniques from refining, talisman crafting, array mastery, and alchemy.”

He patted the cold metal surface.

“Simply put: We feed Demon Souls into the bottom, and Heavenly Soul Liquid comes out the top.”

Sun Yi guided them inside, starting from the third floor where the refining arrays were visible. He explained the process—the stripping of resentment, the purification of spirit, the condensation of essence.

Ouyang Can listened, his jaw slowly dropping.

“Tsk, tsk… incredible,” he muttered, tracing a complex rune on the wall. “To imitate a natural Soul Gathering Place… and to repurpose evil soul arrays for a righteous cause… The design is genius. Even as a Nascent Soul cultivator, I could never have conceived this.”

“It wasn’t just me,” Sun Yi said modestly. “The entire Miscellaneous Arts Hall contributed.”

“Don’t be humble,” Qingxuan scoffed. “Without your blueprints, they would still be banging rocks together.”

He pointed to the second tower. “Why is that one humming differently?”

“That’s the Mark II,” Sun Yi explained. “We optimized the spiritual pressure valves. It produces 30% more output. Come, take a look.”

He led them on a tour of the second tower, pointing out upgrades and efficiencies like a factory manager showing off a new production line.

By the time they emerged, the four newcomers looked dazed.

“I’ve only been gone a year,” Qingxuan sighed, shaking his head. “And you’ve turned the sect into… this. Mass-producing Heavenly Soul Liquid? It defies logic.”

“Even the Heavenly Saint Palace likely doesn’t have such a supply,” Ouyang Can said gravely. “If they knew…”

“They won’t,” Xia Mu cut in, his face serious. “This secret dies with us. If it leaks, we will face a war of extermination.”

“Correct,” Sun Yi agreed. “That is why, officially, this product does not exist. We call it ‘Qingyun Dew.’”

“Qingyun Dew… good name,” Ouyang Can nodded.

“With this supply,” Sun Yi continued, “every Qi Refining disciple in our sect can cultivate the Split Spirit Technique. This not only boosts their combat power but also enhances their ability to multitask in crafting and arrays.”

“Split Spirit Technique?” Ouyang Can asked. “For everyone?”

Qingxuan explained the technique. As he spoke, the eyes of the four newcomers grew wider and wider.

Split Spirit Technique + Five Gates + Body Tempering + Guaranteed Foundation Establishment.

They did the mental math.

A standard Qingyun disciple would have:

Mental processing power far beyond their level.

Five times the Qi reserves of a peer.

A physical body capable of crushing spiritual shields.

Zero risk of bottleneck failure.

“Any one of those traits would make a cultivator a genius in the outside world,” Xia Mu whispered. “Here… you are making them the baseline.”

“Mass-produced geniuses,” Ouyang Can murmured, a shiver running down his spine. “We are truly fortunate to have joined. This… this is a supreme opportunity.”

Sun Yi clapped his hands, breaking their reverie.

“Now that you understand our foundation, let’s talk about the future. We have work to do.”

The Patriarchs straightened up, ready for orders.

“Patriarch Ouyang, Patriarch Xia. Your mission remains the recruitment drive. We also need materials—specifically the alloys required for more Demon Refining Towers. Use the Seven Star Tower, but establish new channels as well. Diversify our supply chain.”

“Understood.”

“Simultaneously, we will clear the demon beast threat from the Chaos Demon Commandery and expand the Qingyun Dao Palaces in the mortal cities. Faith and stability are the bedrock of our expansion.”

“Finally,” Sun Yi pointed to a map of the region. “With the Black Wind Stockade and Evil Spirit Valley gone, their territories are ours.”

“We will rebuild the Black Wind Stockade,” Sun Yi announced. “It sits on a Fourth-Grade Spirit Vein. Once reconstructed, we will move the Sect Headquarters there.”

“And Evil Spirit Valley?” Qingxuan asked.

“The Valley sits at a strategic crossroads, near the Southern Sea and the Myriad Demon Forest,” Sun Yi said, a glint in his eye. “I plan to transform it into the largest Super Market in the Chaos Demon Commandery.”

“Super Market?” The term was alien to them.

Sun Yi grinned. He had already introduced consumer loans. Now, it was time for commercial real estate.

“A centralized hub for trade, commerce, and services. A city dedicated to wealth generation,” Sun Yi explained. “It will be the economic engine of the sect.”

He looked at the map, his mind already drafting blueprints.

“But that is a long-term project. For now… we take it step by step.”
