“Do you recall my previous words?” Sun Yi asked. “The ones where I promised to find a path for disciples with low-quality Spirit Roots? Today, we begin the first attempt at that solution.”
Whispers immediately broke out among the crowd.
“The Headmaster is fulfilling his promise?”
“I remember the Headmaster’s theory!” a disciple whispered excitedly. “To break through the realms, one needs the Trinity Cultivation of Qi Refining, body refining, and soul refining! Our sect currently lacks the soul refining aspect!”
“That must be it! The Headmaster has gathered us to research the Dao of Soul Refining!”
Sun Yi didn’t silence the chatter. He merely smiled. “I assume the perceptive ones among you have already deduced our next task.”
“Correct. We are going to address the soul-refining deficiency in our sect’s disciples,” Sun Yi declared. “We lack a soul refining technique, but I know that Heavenly Soul Liquid can directly enhance the soul. My own Divine Sense reached its current level solely by absorbing this liquid. It is the primary reason I achieved Foundation Establishment without using a Foundation Establishment Pill.”
“However,” Sun Yi raised a finger, “Heavenly Soul Liquid is a rare treasure of heaven and earth. It is generated in minuscule quantities within natural Soul Gathering Places, and due to its nature, it is nearly impossible to remove from such places.”
“Relying on natural occurrences to help everyone enhance their souls and achieve breakthroughs is clearly not feasible. Therefore, I have designed a device to artificially produce it.”

The artisans stared at Sun Yi with extreme astonishment. Sun Yi merely chuckled. “If a Soul Gathering Place can produce Heavenly Soul Liquid, then logic dictates that we simply need to build our own Soul Gathering Place.”
“Here are the schematics. Study them, discuss amongst yourselves, and ask me directly with any questions.”
With a wave of his hand, over 300 jade slips shot out, landing precisely in the hands of the artisans. They immediately channeled their Divine Sense into them to examine the contents.
Elder Ye Luo grabbed his jade slip, his Divine Sense plunging into it with impatient curiosity.
Inside the jade slip was a series of complex diagrams.
The first diagram displayed a towering, three-story pagoda. The second showed a cross-sectional view. The third diagram detailed the top floor’s various structures and introductions. The fourth did the same for the second floor. The fifth detailed the first floor.
Following these were a massive number of additional diagrams, introducing various formation patterns, array plates, cauldrons, formation flags, runes, and all sorts of other components.
“This… what class of Spirit Weapon is this?”
Elder Ye Luo, a certified Rank 3 artifact refiner, was completely baffled. The design was utterly unfamiliar.
Sun Yi smiled. “This is the Demon Refining Tower. The top floor is for inputting demon souls, where they undergo preliminary refinement in a soul refining formation.”
“The product from the third floor enters the second for further processing, and is finally sent to the first layer for final refinement. For the first floor, I modeled a soul refining formation based on the structure of the Soul Refining Valley. If nothing goes wrong, it should be able to produce Heavenly Soul Liquid.”
“It… it’s that simple?” Elder Ye Luo’s eyes widened as he looked at Sun Yi.
“You call this simple?” Sun Yi said. “The entire Demon Refining Tower integrates artifact refining, formations, talisman making, and alchemy. Simply combining these four arts is no simple feat.”

Sun Yi turned and handed a scroll to another Elder. “Elder Qin Chu, please prepare the materials for me. This is the list.”
“At once, Headmaster!” Elder Qin Chu scanned the list. While the quantity of materials was significant, they were all materials the sect could prepare.
“Changqing, Elder Jin Jue, Elder Han Yun,” Sun Yi addressed his team. “The day-to-day management of the sect is in your hands during this time.”
“Rest assured, Headmaster!” Er Gouzi thumped his chest. “We’ll keep the sect running smoothly!”
“Elder Li Tai, maintain your surveillance on the Chaos Demon Commandery,” Sun Yi ordered. “Collect as much detailed information as possible on the entire commandery, including all mortal regions and the intelligence on all major powers.”
“I will dedicate all my efforts to this investigation, Headmaster,” the Elder bowed.
Sun Yi swept his gaze over the assembly. “This period of Secluded Cultivation for research is of critical importance. Unless there is a major event, do not disturb us.”
“Understood, Headmaster!” The crowd nodded.
With that, Sun Yi led this group into a frenzied period of research. Elder Qin Chu worked to provide them with various materials.
Even Elder Ye Luo joined the research team.
For the first 15 days, Sun Yi spent his time explaining the principles of the Demon Refining Tower and the detailed theoretical structure of each component to everyone present.
Previously, artifact refining, alchemy, talismans, and formations, while somewhat connected, had never been fully integrated the way Sun Yi was doing.
