Synopsis

“They meditate for enlightenment. I audit for efficiency.”
Sun Yi, a top-tier scientist from Earth, transmigrates into the body of a lowly servant disciple in the Qingyun Sect. His start is a nightmare: he has trash-tier Spirit Roots, no background, and the sect itself is on the brink of bankruptcy, surrounded by hostile warlords.
In a world where strength is everything, Sun Yi realizes the Elders have it all wrong. A sect isn’t a family; it’s a corporation. And the Qingyun Sect is failing because of bad management.
Using modern business strategies and scientific knowledge, Sun Yi stages a “hostile takeover” to become the new Sect Leader (CEO). He doesn’t rely on luck or destiny; he relies on Capital.
His Reform Plan:
The “Pay-to-Win” Strategy: Why meditate for ten years when you can burn 500 million points of resources to level up in a week? Time is money.
R&D Revolution: Can’t use Divine Sense in the Forbidden Forest? Invent a “Spirit Plate” (Radar) to loot resources while others are flying blind.
Financial Leverage: Introduce “Sect Loans” and “Performance KPIs” to turn lazy disciples into hyper-productive employees.
Hostile Takeovers: Why risk your own life in war? Use the sect’s profits to outsource violence and hire high-level mercenaries to wipe out rival sects.
Watch Sun Yi turn a crumbling sect into a cultivation empire, proving that with enough funding, even a trash talent can defy the Heavens.
Welcome to Cultivation, Inc. We are now open for business.

What to expect:
Smart / Rational MC: The MC treats cultivation like a business project. No brainless arrogance.
Kingdom / Sect Building: Detailed management of resources, personnel, and expansion.
Weak-to-Strong (via Resources): The MC starts weak but becomes OP by “eating” resources like candy.
Tech meets Magic: Creating radars (Spirit Plates), assembly lines, and modern concepts in a Xianxia world.
No Harem: The MC is married to the grind (and the Sect’s GDP).
Face-Slapping: But done with logic, money, and policy changes rather than just fists.

Chapter 173: Shattering the Formation with a Snap (First Update)

As Sun Yi’s command echoed, the Qingyun Sect disciples swarmed from the flying boat like hornets. They had seen the blood pool, the chains, the mutilated mortals. Their rage was a palpable force.

“Kill!”

Zhao Lun led the charge. He didn’t even draw his sword; he simply waved his hand, and a storm of sword qi descended, shredding the outer perimeter guards into ribbons.

Against these minor cultivators, flying swords were a waste of Qi. Sword qi was enough.

The disciples spread out, their formation tight and disciplined. They moved through the Zhou compound like a scythe through wheat, sparing no one. Cultivators, guards, servants who raised the beasts—all fell.

“Elder Jin Jue,” Sun Yi said, his eyes fixed on the shimmering dome protecting the inner sanctum. “Break the array. Let no Golden Core escape.”

“Understood.”

Jin Jue stepped forward, teleporting to the edge of the barrier. Sun Yi joined him, his gaze analyzing the flow of energy.

“The Three Origin Mystic Fire Array,” Sun Yi noted. “Impressive. It could hold off a Grand Perfection Golden Core for days. Unfortunately for them, I am here.”

He pointed a finger. “Strike there. The third node from the left.”

“Yes, Headmaster.”

Jin Jue summoned his Gold Spirit Sword. The aura of a Golden Core cultivator exploded outward, causing the air to tremble. He channeled his Gold Gate True Qi, and the sword became a sun of blinding light.

Inside the array.

The Zhou cultivators looked up in terror. They felt the pressure.

Three figures shot into the sky from the central peak.

The leader was an old man with wild white hair—Zhou Yun, the Zhou Ancestor, at Golden Core Grand Perfection. Flanking him were a Mid-Stage elder and an Early-Stage elder.

“Who dares attack the Zhou Family?!” Zhou Yun roared, his voice amplified by Qi.

“Your family feeds humans to beasts,” Sun Yi replied, his voice cold and flat. “You are filth. You will be cleansed.”

“You attack us for… mortals?” Zhou Yun blinked, genuinely confused. “They are ants! Livestock!”

“To me, you are the ants,” Sun Yi said. “And today, I step on you.”

“Arrogant brat!” Zhou Yun sneered, noting Sun Yi’s Foundation Establishment cultivation. “Leave now, and I may spare your lives. My array is unbreakable!”

“Is it?”

Sun Yi signaled Jin Jue.

BOOM!

Jin Jue’s sword struck the node Sun Yi had identified. The barrier shuddered violently.

“Again. There.” Sun Yi pointed to a second weak point.

“My turn!” Elder Han Yun joined in, smashing his Jade Ruler onto the spot.

CRACK!

The barrier groaned. Inside, the Zhou cultivators paled.

“Ancestor?” the Mid-Stage elder, Zhou Hua, asked nervously.

“Impossible,” Zhou Yun muttered. “How do they know the weak points?”

“Strike… there!” Sun Yi pointed a third time.

Jin Jue and Han Yun combined their attacks.

SHATTER!

The invincible Three Origin Mystic Fire Array disintegrated into sparks of fading light.

“Kill them!” Sun Yi ordered. “Show no mercy! We take the Golden Cores; the rest of you, handle the trash!”

Sun Yi didn’t wait. He shot toward the Early-Stage Golden Core elder.

Jin Jue locked onto Zhou Yun. He unleashed a golden sword beam, forcing the Ancestor to summon a defensive artifact—a ring that released a massive, flame-wreathed Demon Beast. A Third-Order beast!

Han Yun targeted Zhou Hua. His Jade Ruler clashed with Zhou Hua’s Golden Seal artifact, knocking it back and forcing the Zhou elder to retreat, vomiting blood.

“How?!” Zhou Hua gasped. “We are the same realm!”

Desperate, Zhou Hua summoned his own beast—a massive White Serpent.

Sun Yi scanned the battlefield. Three Third-Order beasts. They were prepared.

It didn’t matter.

The Early-Stage Zhou elder sneered at Sun Yi. “A Foundation Establishment ant seeks death?”

He conjured a water dragon, launching it at Sun Yi.

Sun Yi’s eyes flashed.

“Five Swords Union!”

Five spirit swords erupted from his body, merging into a single, colossal rainbow blade. The water dragon was sliced in half instantly.

The rainbow blade didn’t slow down. It screamed through the air, aiming straight for the elder’s neck.
