Elders Qin Chu, Li Tai, and Han Yun wasted no time. They flew straight to the Law Enforcement Hall, landing near the newly ascended Elder Jin Jue.
“Congratulations, Senior Brother Jin Jue,” Qin Chu said, cupping his hands. “You are now one step closer to the Great Dao of the Nascent Soul.”
“A monumental advancement,” Elder Li Tai added. “With a late-stage Golden Core expert, the Sect’s valuation has just increased significantly.”
“Indeed,” Han Yun agreed. “It has been too long since Qingyun had such firepower.”
Envy pricked at their hearts, but the congratulations were sincere. Since the restructuring, the toxic internal politics had dissolved. The ‘silo mentality’ of the past was gone, replaced by a genuine sense of camaraderie.
Elder Jin Jue sheathed his flying sword, grinning ear to ear. “I merely took the first step. With the new resource allocation policies, I trust you three will close the gap soon.”
“We will borrow your auspicious words,” Qin Chu replied with a smile.
Suddenly, all four heads turned in unison. Sun Yi was approaching, wearing his trademark confident smile.
“Congratulations, Elder Jin Jue,” Sun Yi boomed as he landed. “You’ve broken the glass ceiling. The path to the Nascent Soul is now a tangible projection, not just a dream.”
“Sect Master!” The four Elders bowed in unison. The respect in their posture was no longer performative; it was absolute.
Jin Jue looked at Sun Yi with profound gratitude. “I owe this breakthrough to the motto you carved. It was only after contemplating your Vision Statement that I understood the magnitude of your ambition. I apologize for my previous shortsightedness.”
Sun Yi blinked. Another one? He hadn’t realized that plagiarizing a few motivational quotes from Earth would result in literal power-ups.
If my ‘Corporate Culture’ initiative is this effective, Sun Yi mused, I should have started printing posters sooner.
“Where is Elder Ye Luo?” Sun Yi asked, noting the absence of the Miscellaneous Arts Hall Master.
Han Yun chuckled wryly. “After reading the Sect Master’s inscription, Elder Ye Luo also claimed to have an epiphany. He went into immediate seclusion.”
Sun Yi paused. Seriously? Is my plagiarism that potent?
As if on cue, the atmospheric pressure shifted. The ambient spiritual Qi, which had just settled, began to churn violently once more.
“This is…”
Everyone turned toward the Miscellaneous Arts Hall. A massive suction force had materialized, pulling the surrounding energy into a tight vortex.
“Wonderful!” Jin Jue’s eyes lit up. “It seems Elder Ye Luo is executing his own upgrade!”
“Incredible!” Qin Chu clenched his fists. “He’s breaking through!”
“We need to hustle,” Han Yun muttered, his competitive spirit igniting. “We can’t let the gap widen too far.”
“If the Old Ancestor knew we produced two Late Golden Core executives in a single day, he’d be ecstatic,” Li Tai laughed.
“Good! Good! Good!” Sun Yi clapped his hands, his mind racing with the implications. “A double blessing! Once Elder Ye Luo stabilizes, we are throwing a party.”
Internally, Sun Yi let out a sigh of relief. With two Late Golden Core loyalists, his position as CEO was as stable as Mount Tai. The Board was now firmly in his pocket.
Finally, he thought, eyeing the sect’s direction. Now I can ‘pluck the wool’ from the treasure vault without looking over my shoulder. It’s time to approve some personal expenses.
A moment later, a long, piercing roar echoed from the Miscellaneous Arts Hall. Elder Ye Luo shot into the sky, a cyan flying sword humming with power above his head. The aura of the Late Golden Core stage swept across the sect, a clear signal of his new status.
Sun Yi led the group to intercept him. Ye Luo, sensing the VIPs, retracted his aura and landed with a beaming smile.
“Congratulations, Ye Luo,” Jin Jue said warmly. “Welcome to the club.”
“I should be congratulating you, Senior Brother,” Ye Luo replied.
“You two are making it hard for the rest of us,” Qin Chu joked, shaking his head. “How are we supposed to maintain our dignity?”
“Don’t worry,” Ye Luo laughed. “Stick with the Sect Master’s program, and you’ll hit your KPIs in no time.”
“We will catch up,” Han Yun vowed, his eyes burning with determination.
“Gentlemen,” Sun Yi interrupted, seizing the moment. “This double breakthrough is a massive PR win. I want to capitalize on this momentum. I’m authorizing a special dividend: 10 Contribution Points for every employee in the company.”
“Agreed,” Ye Luo said instantly. “Whatever the Sect Master decides.”
“No objections here,” Qin Chu added. As the head of Internal Affairs (HR/Payroll), he approved the budget without hesitation.
“Furthermore,” Sun Yi continued, “we shouldn’t let this experience go to waste. I want to organize a ‘Dao Transmission Assembly’ immediately. You two will be the keynote speakers. Share your insights and cultivation experience with the junior staff.”
“A seminar?” Jin Jue clapped his hands. “Brilliant idea!”
“The disciples will be thrilled,” Qin Chu nodded. “It’s excellent for morale.”
“I support all directives from the Sect Master,” Ye Luo said simply.
“Time is money,” Sun Yi said. “Elder Li, send the company-wide memo.”
Elder Li Tai stepped forward, channeling his True Qi to amplify his voice. His announcement rolled across the mountain peaks like thunder, informing every disciple of the immediate 10-point bonus and the upcoming mandatory all-hands meeting.
The reaction was instantaneous. The Qingyun Sect erupted.
“Did I hear that right? Another bonus?”
“You heard Li Tai! 10 points and a lecture from two Late Golden Core Elders!”
“The new CEO is a godsend! I don’t even know how to praise him anymore!”
“I’m so glad I didn’t quit during the restructuring. This management team is legendary!”
“Stop talking and move! To the Central Square! We need good seats!”
The sect transformed into a hive of activity. Streams of light streaked across the sky as cultivators flew toward the plaza, while those on foot sprinted as if their lives depended on it. The morale index was hitting an all-time high.
