Chapter 111: Humiliated and Berserk; This Blade is Repaid to You
“Breaking through to the Conferred Lord Realm has made you this arrogant?”
“Or has your skin started itching after a few days without discipline? Gu Xianer, do you really think you can turn the tables and become the master?”
Gu Changge crouched down, a playful smirk dancing on his lips. He reached out and pinched her small, elegant nose, twisting it gently.
Gu Xianer gnashed her teeth, her light brown eyes burning with rage and unwillingness.
What does he mean I’m arrogant? What does he mean he can’t lift his blade?
Although his words were strange, the mockery was unmistakable.
She was going mad.
But more than anger, she felt a crushing sense of discouragement.
For years, she had cultivated bitterly. She sat on the bluestone, drinking the morning dew, refining the essence of the sun and moon, and mastering peerless divine arts. What was it all for?
To take revenge. To rub Gu Changge’s hateful face into the dirt and make him regret the pain he caused her.
Moments ago, she had been confident. She was a Conferred Lord at an age younger than Gu Changge had been. She was a genius among geniuses.
Yet, before she could even unleash her true power, he had suppressed her with a single palm.
The slap to her pride was too fast, too brutal.
Unwilling. Aggrieved. Frustrated.
“Gu Changge, don’t get cocky!” she spat, her voice icy. “My realm is lower than yours now, but when I catch up, I will suppress you. I will return today’s humiliation a hundredfold!”
“So catch up then,” Gu Changge replied, his voice clear and indifferent. “But with your current ability? Killing me for revenge? Xianer, aren’t you dreaming a little too big?”
His tone was aloof, looking down on her from the clouds.
Gu Xianer struggled, but the massive hand of spiritual energy pinned her to the ground. She couldn’t move. And to make it worse, he was still pinching her nose!
“Gu Changge! You go too far! I will kill you!”
She hissed like a cornered cat, her hair bristling.
“I gave you a chance to kill me, but you didn’t cherish it,” Gu Changge sighed, shaking his head. “Xianer, you really disappoint me.”
His expression was faint, devoid of emotion, like an immortal statue.
Gu Xianer froze.
Disappointed?
Why is he disappointed? Shouldn’t he be happy that he crushed me?
What does he mean? Does he want me to kill him?
Her mind spun in confusion.
Gu Changge didn’t explain. In his eyes, she just needed a lesson. She was stubborn, proud, and constantly provocative. If she just cultivated quietly under the Grand Elder, wouldn’t that be fine? Why did she have to come here and annoy him with her “righteous vengeance”?
The bone-digging incident wasn’t even his doing—it was the original host consumed by Demonic Nature. If he had been in control back then, he would have handled things much more elegantly.
But since she was here, he might as well teach her the height of the heavens and the depth of the earth.
“Today is a small punishment,” Gu Changge said calmly. “If there is a next time, I will throw you into a latrine pit and suppress you for five years.”
SMACK!
A crisp sound echoed through the air.
Gu Xianer froze. Her eyes went wide with disbelief.
Then, her face turned a violent shade of red.
He… he spanked her?
She was a Conferred Lord! A Young Supreme! And he just spanked her like a naughty child?!
“Gu Changge…”
Yue Mingkong watched from the side, stunned. Gu Changge’s attitude was strange, but at least there was no killing intent. Spanking a sister… well, it was better than killing her.
“Xianer…” she started to say.
“Gu Changge! I will kill you! I will fight you to the death!”
Gu Xianer exploded.
Humiliation burned through her veins. She gnashed her teeth, wishing she could chop off his offending hand.
“Want to kill me? Show me some real skill,” Gu Changge scoffed, standing up and turning his back to her. He walked toward his palace, waving a hand dismissively. “Don’t make me look down on you.”
HUM!
Suddenly, a terrifying aura erupted from Gu Xianer.
Her face was frost. From her Sea of Consciousness, she summoned a pitch-black great blade.
It was a treasure bestowed by her First Master in the Land of Abandoned Immortals.
Killing intent surged to the heavens. The blade radiance was horrific, threatening to tear the sky apart. Visions of weeping Great Emperors and fallen True Immortals manifested around the blade.
It was a weapon of mass destruction, far beyond the Saint Realm.
“What is that?!”
“So terrifying! Is someone attacking Supreme Peak?”
Disciples all over the sect looked up in horror, their souls trembling under the pressure. Even the Elders watching from the void felt their hearts palpitate.
“That power surpasses the Saint Realm! How does she have such a thing?”
“It must be from her background…”
High above, the Grand Elder stroked his beard and grinned.
“That old monster gave her that blade? Hahaha! Gu Changge, you courted death yourself! Don’t blame me for watching the show!”
He was delighted. Seeing Gu Changge suffer was like drinking ice water on a hot day. Even if Gu Changge didn’t die, he would definitely lose a layer of skin facing that weapon.
But a moment later, the Grand Elder’s smile froze.
Wait. Why isn’t he moving?
Supreme Peak.
Gu Changge stopped walking. He sensed the apocalyptic power behind him. He had anticipated this.
He turned around.
He looked at the descending blade with calm, indifferent eyes.
“Xianer! Stop!” Yue Mingkong shouted, her face pale.
She wanted to intervene, but it was too late. The blade was already falling.
If this hit, the tentative peace was over. They would be enemies for real. And with Gu Xianer’s current strength, tearing off all pretenses with Gu Changge meant death.
Gu Xianer, amidst her rage, suddenly felt a pang of regret.
She had been blinded by anger. She wanted to defeat him, not butcher him with a cheat weapon! This wasn’t a fair win!
Moreover… he hadn’t tried to kill her. He had just humiliated her.
“Stop!” she screamed in her mind, frantically trying to withdraw her spiritual energy.
But a weapon of that caliber, once unleashed, could not be easily recalled. The momentum was unstoppable.
HUM!
The void shattered. The blade slashed down, aiming to cleave the world in two.
“Gu Changge! Dodge! Move!”
Gu Xianer screamed, her voice shrill with panic.
She had attacked him, yet now she was begging him to dodge. The contradiction tore at her heart. She didn’t want this.
But Gu Changge didn’t move.
He stood there, hands behind his back, robes fluttering in the wind of the approaching destruction. His expression was tranquil, almost serene.
He looked at her panic-stricken face and spoke softly.
“This blade… I will return it to you first.”
SLASH!
The black blade struck.
It didn’t hit a barrier. It didn’t hit a shield.
It sliced directly into his shoulder, cutting diagonally down through half his body.
Blood sprayed like a fountain.
The pain was horrific, a tearing agony that should have made anyone scream.
But Gu Changge didn’t blink. His face remained calm, his brow un-furrowed.
Inside the wound, a bone glowing with brilliant, mystical Dao runes was revealed.
CRACK.
Under the force of the blade, the Dao Bone—the bone he had stolen from her—cracked.
“This…”
Yue Mingkong covered her mouth, her eyes wide with shock.
He didn’t dodge? He didn’t defend?
He just… let her cut him?
With his abilities, if he wanted to resist, he definitely could have!
