Chapter 135: Master Was Right; Good-Looking Men Are All Tigers

Bang!

The Seventh Princess, her hair a tangled mess and her body slick with blood, looked more like a vengeful wraith than a royal. With her cultivation sealed by Gu Changge’s brutal efficiency, she was tossed like a sack of refuse to the feet of Gu Xianer.

The battlefield, which had been a cacophony of slaughter moments ago, plunged into a tomb-like silence.

“The Seventh Princess has been defeated…”

The Sea Clan warriors felt the very foundations of their world crumble. To them, the Seventh Princess was a peerless monarch, an invincible talent who had never known a rival within the vast oceans. Yet, in her first true foray into the world of men, she had been decimated.

Worse, she was now at the mercy of the man whose name was becoming synonymous with slaughter. Gu Changge didn’t just win; he erased hope.

“My Master possesses the aptitude of a True Immortal. He is destined to stand at the absolute zenith, overlooking billions of worlds,” a yaksha-like follower sneered, his voice cutting through the silence. He punctuated his statement by tearing a Sea Clan soldier in half. “How could a mere fish like your Seventh Princess ever hope to be his match?”

The Sea Clan’s faces drained of all color. They trembled, their teeth clattering in a rhythm of pure terror. The grand oceanic array that had blanketed the sky had long since dissipated, leaving only the copper tang of blood and a field of mangled corpses.

This event would undoubtedly trigger a tectonic shift in the Immortal Ancient Continent. The arrogant Seventh Princess had hunted Changge’s sister, only for the man himself to descend like an angry deity and annihilate her forces.

“He has likely already entered the ranks of the Young Taboos,” a spectator whispered, his voice thick with awe. “Since ancient times, only those young supremes who transcend the pinnacle, who step onto the Other Shore while still in their youth… only they can be called a Young Taboo.”

“A Young Taboo!” another breathed. “The weight of those four words…”

Genius was common. Young supremes were rare. But a Young Taboo? That required proof through blood. It meant a combat power that could bridge two entire major realms. Before such a monster, other geniuses were nothing more than ants to be stepped on. And Gu Changge’s performance today—the ease with which he suppressed a peak Conferred King—was the very definition of a Young Taboo.

“Gu Changge… are you really giving her to me?”

Gu Xianer stood before him, the lingering shock still written across her delicate features. She looked at the Seventh Princess, who lay discarded like a tattered rag. Without her cultivation, the “invincible” warrior was a snake without fangs—vicious in spirit, but utterly harmless.

Gu Xianer’s eyes narrowed, suspicion flickering within them. There was a catch. There was always a catch with Gu Changge.

“Is that the attitude you show your savior?” Gu Changge asked, a faint, teasing smile playing on his lips.

Xianer’s face, pale as white porcelain and smudged with blood, twitched. “Savior? Don’t flatter yourself. Even without you, I would have been fine.”

She resumed her mask of icy arrogance. Inside, her heart was doing backflips of joy and relief, but she’d sooner die than say “thank you” to her mortal enemy.

“Truly a glutton for punishment,” Changge sighed, his smile fading into a look of feigned boredom. “Have you already forgotten the lesson I gave you the other day?”

Xianer’s face flushed a deep crimson. Only she, Yue Mingkong, and Changge knew about the “spanking” incident on Wushang Peak. “Don’t get cocky! One day, I’ll press you into the dirt and make you understand exactly how it feels!” she hissed under her breath.

“Oh? Is your skin itching again?” Changge’s hearing was, unfortunately, perfect. His tone turned cold and dismissive. “If you want revenge, prove it. Don’t make me look down on you. Otherwise, you won’t even be fit to follow me like the little tail you were when we were children.”

Xianer froze. That memory hit her like a physical blow. She remembered being small, following him everywhere, clinging to his robes while he treated her with a cold, distant indifference. It had hurt back then, but she had always come back for more.

She fell into a pensive silence. If she were the girl who had just left Peach Village, she would have responded with murderous intent. But now? She felt… calm.

She began to analyze him with the frantic logic of a “tsundere” in denial. Wait. If he’s so strong, why didn’t he dodge my blade that night? Why did he act like a stranger only to rush across the continent to save me now? Her imagination took flight. Is he doing this on purpose? Is he trying to make me hate him so I’ll grow stronger? Was the bone-digging just a way to ensure my future survival?

Gu Changge watched her internal struggle, his inner voice laughing. The “silly girl” was busy writing her own fan-fiction about his “tragic noble secret.” It was exactly what he wanted.

“Gu Changge,” Xianer said, her hostility noticeably softened, “how should we handle her?”

“What should you call me?” he countered, glancing at her. He had a bottom line; he wasn’t about to let her forget her place in the family hierarchy.

He also noted with interest that her Luck Points were still rising despite the ordeal. She clearly had the “battle breakthrough” trope in her blood. He almost felt bad for interrupting her “near-death power-up.”

“Keep dreaming,” Xianer retorted. “You’ll never hear me call you ‘Brother’.”

Changge shrugged. “Kill her or keep her, it’s up to you. I’ve handed her over; I’m washing my hands of it.”

His plan was twofold. First, the Seventh Princess was meant to be “XP” for Xianer’s growth. Second, by letting Xianer deal the killing blow, the wrath of the Sea King Palace would fall squarely on her—and by extension, the mysterious Masters who protected her. It was a perfect way to redirect the heat while teaching the girl a lesson for using his name as a shield earlier.

“Hmph. I knew there was a knife behind that smile,” Xianer snorted. She understood his meaning perfectly. He didn’t want the “Black Pot” of killing a princess. He was a bad man to the core.

“I travel thousands of miles to save you, only to be insulted. You truly chill my heart, Xianer,” Changge teased, his expression unapologetic.

Xianer turned her gaze toward the Seventh Princess. The woman’s eyes were wide with a desperate, pathetic fear.

“Don’t kill me… I’ll serve you… I’ll do anything…” the Princess begged, her dignity long since shattered.

“Too late,” Gu Xianer said, her voice devoid of emotion. She summoned her black greatsword. “When you decided to hunt me, you should have imagined this end.”

Pfft!

The blade descended. A spray of brilliant crimson painted the mountain stones.

The Seventh Princess of the Sea King Palace was no more.
