Chapter 253: My Name is Jiang Ping

His time was running out, and his Junior Sister’s time was also fleeting. If he didn’t take a risk now, if he missed the chance to form his Nascent Soul because of hesitation, that would be the greatest regret of his life.

There were so many beautiful sights in this world he hadn’t seen yet. How could he be willing to fall halfway?

“Finally back! Yay!”

The door creaked open. Qi Wei bounced into the room, her small body taking a flying leap onto the bed. She rolled back and forth on the silk sheets, giggling.

Li Meng followed her in, a beaming smile on his face. He turned and closed the door.

“Little Junior Sister,” he teased, “this is Senior Brother’s room. Your room is next door.”

Qi Wei flipped over and sat up, blinking her large eyes at him.

“Senior Brother’s room is my room. You won’t kick me out, will you?”

Li Meng laughed and walked toward the window. He squinted, admiring the golden sea of clouds rolling endlessly outside.

Little Junior Sister was just a child. Although her true age was significant, her body and mind remained suspended in a state of eternal youth. In the past, he had approached her with an ulterior motive—to curry favor with the Supreme Elder of Masked Moon Peak.

But now, that goal was achieved. He didn’t mind becoming the perfect Senior Brother in her heart. Who wouldn’t want such a pure, devoted cutie by their side?

Her affection wasn’t fully maxed out, but it was the purest he had ever encountered.

“Senior Brother, what are you thinking about?”

Qi Wei jumped off the bed and hopped over to his side, looking up at him.

Li Meng looked down. He didn’t say much, simply reaching out to ruffle her hair.

Qi Wei didn’t press him. She leaned against his leg contentedly.

“Little Junior Sister.”

“Senior Brother, I’m here?” She looked up, puzzled. He was patting her head right now; why call her name?

The smile disappeared from Li Meng’s face. His voice turned quiet.

“Are you afraid of killing people?”

Qi Wei gave him a sweet, innocent smile. She shook her head.

“Not at all.”

Li Meng’s smile returned. He withdrew his hand. “That’s good.”

A flicker of curiosity passed through Qi Wei’s eyes. Why the sudden question?

Li Meng turned back to the clouds.

Is good and evil really that important?

He never considered himself a hero. He was a selfish, ordinary man—a corporate drone from another world trying to survive in this one. His version of justice might seem saintly to some, but he never aspired to be righteous.

He just wanted to live. Selfishly, happily. To protect the people he cared about. To have only joy and no sorrow, only reunions and no partings. He wanted to walk the path of immortality with those he loved and see the scenery at the summit.

If anyone tried to take that life away… even if it was the Heavens themselves, he would pierce them through.

He bent down and picked Qi Wei up, placing her on the windowsill so she could see the view.

“Senior Brother, you’re so strange!” Qi Wei grabbed his arm with both hands.

Li Meng tapped her nose. “Hasn’t Senior Brother always been strange?”

Qi Wei’s eyes curved into crescents. “Yeah! You were always weird.”

Knock, knock, knock!

The heavy wooden door reverberated.

“Junior Brother Li,” a female voice called from the hallway. “The Ancestor requests your presence.”

Qi Wei looked at the door, then pursed her lips in a mischievous smile.

“Someone’s about to get scolded!”

Seeing her gloating expression, Li Meng turned and flicked his sleeve with dramatic flair.

“What does your Senior Brother have to fear!” he declared, his voice resonant with mock righteousness.

Qi Wei giggled, clapping her hands and swinging her feet. “Go, Senior Brother!”

Li Meng opened the door and stepped out, closing it behind him. Hearing her laughter through the wood, a flicker of envy passed through his eyes.

Being a child was good. Even if they did something bad, it was always the adult’s responsibility.

He turned to look at the disciple who had summoned him.

Jiang Ping.

Her looks were… passable. But her figure was exceptional.

She wore the standard rainbow dress of the Inner Sect, which usually looked loose and flowing. On her, however, the fabric clung desperately to the curves of her waist and hips, accentuating a voluptuous hourglass figure that screamed sexuality.

Why does the uniform look so different on her?

Although she stood with a respectful posture, her eyes kept darting toward him, assessing him.

Her cultivation was at the mid-Foundation Establishment stage, but her aura was unstable. Yin energy was leaking from her body at an alarming rate.

Li Meng diagnosed the issue instantly.

Excessive “Harmonious Union.” She had been dual cultivating far too frequently, likely with partners who took more than they gave, damaging her foundation. While dual cultivation could boost speed, without balance, it drained vitality.

She needed to stop. She needed Root Strengthening Pills and celibacy to consolidate her base.

“Senior Sister,” Li Meng said softly. “In all things, moderation is key. Seeking momentary pleasure will only make your bottleneck harder to overcome.”

He flicked his sleeve.

Swish.

A small jade bottle flew out from his Sword Nurturing Gourd, hovering in front of her.

Jiang Ping caught it, her eyes widening in surprise. She looked at him with sudden gratitude.

“Don’t thank me yet,” Li Meng added, his tone cool. “It’s not free.”

Jiang Ping froze. She forcibly swallowed the thanks on the tip of her tongue.

Without a word, she stored the bottle in her Storage Bag. No matter what he asked for, she wasn’t giving this back. It was exactly what she needed to save her cultivation.

She looked up at him, a graceful, knowing smile spreading across her lips. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and a hint of practiced flirtatiousness entered her gaze.

“If Junior Brother has any requests,” she purred, throwing him a look that was practically dripping with suggestion, “this Senior Sister will agree to anything.”

Li Meng smiled slightly, squinting as he stroked his beard.

“Easy, easy. I definitely won’t make things difficult for you. Senior Sister, lead the way.”

Jiang Ping brushed a lock of hair from her forehead. She turned, swaying her hips deliberately as she led him down the corridor.

That waist, those legs, that rhythmic sway… she was truly a back-view killer.
