Chapter 183: Mountain Peak Realm
Li Meng silently admired the graceful curve of Senior Sister Leng’s back.
Though her soul had stabilized, some of the damage she had endured was beyond repair. Whatever had happened to her was undoubtedly the cause of the soul trauma that had left her comatose. Li Meng refrained from asking who had given her the tainted pill. Perhaps that person had meant well. Perhaps they had simply known nothing.
“Does Senior Sister intend to seek out the truth?” he asked.
Leng Yixue’s expression turned slightly cold. “There is someone I must find. He might have the answers I seek.”
“Not now.”
Leng Yixue turned, her gaze falling upon Junior Brother Li as he held their Senior in the medicinal bath. “Why?”
Standing by the window, her silhouette appeared utterly aloof and solitary. Her eyes held nothing but confusion as she looked at him.
“The treatment has reached a critical juncture. I need your help, Senior Sister,” Li Meng said smoothly.
A flicker of struggle crossed Leng Yixue’s eyes before she finally relented. “Alright.”
She approached the wooden tub, her slender fingers undoing her sash. Piece by piece, her outer garments drifted away, landing neatly on the nearby rack.
Li Meng breathed a quiet sigh of relief. Just moments ago, he had watched Senior Sister Leng’s Luck plummet to a dismal ten points—a sight that had given him quite a fright. He had been forced to invent an excuse to keep her here. He absolutely could not let her leave the Sect. No matter who she was looking for, stepping beyond the Sect’s borders right now meant certain death.
Clad only in a thin inner robe, Leng Yixue stepped into the steaming water. The surface of the bath rose by an inch, lapping against the wooden rim.
Li Meng’s gaze subtly swept over her. The soaked silk clung tightly to her delicate curves, rendering her snow-white skin tantalizingly translucent beneath the fabric.
Unbothered by her exposed state, Leng Yixue met his eyes with perfect calm. “Junior Brother, let us begin.”
“Right… of course.” Li Meng formed a rapid series of hand seals. Thick, fragrant mist began to swirl from the water, gradually enveloping the three figures in a veil of white.

Early the next morning, the pavilion door opened with a soft creak. Dressed in a simple yellow robe, Li Meng strolled out at a leisurely pace.
A sharp gust of astral wind immediately rushed at his face, but his steps didn’t falter. Squinting against the morning light, he observed the graceful figure practicing martial stances in the courtyard.
Chuckling softly, Li Meng stroked his beard and made his way toward his favorite reclining chair. As he walked, he took a moment to appraise Junior Sister Yao.
She had already broken through to the Mountain Peak Realm. The vitality and blood energy surging through her body were incredibly vigorous; every step she took whipped up a fierce gale, and the martial intent behind her punches was already taking tangible form.
Settling into his chair, Li Meng watched her train with an amused smile.
Yao Ning caught sight of him out of the corner of her eye. Realizing that her Senior Brother had been staring at her for quite some time, a faint flush crept up her cheeks. She stumbled, nearly losing her footing entirely.
Quickly halting her routine, she exhaled a long breath of turbid air, forcing the boiling blood energy caused by her disrupted rhythm to settle. Turning on her heel, she marched over to the tea table and sat down with a spirited huff.
“Senior Brother, why… why do you keep staring at me?” She pouted, shooting him a glare that carried a distinct hint of coquettishness.
Li Meng chuckled, smoothing his beard. “What’s this? Is a Senior Brother no longer allowed to admire his own Junior Sister?”
Her face flushed a deeper shade of red. Snatching up a teacup, she downed it in a single gulp before lowering her head in embarrassment. “N-no, you can look whenever you want… just… just not when I’m practicing! Don’t just sit there staring at me!”
With a flick of his sleeve, Li Meng poured her a fresh cup of tea. “Very well. From now on, whenever Junior Sister is practicing, this Senior Brother will lock himself in his room. I absolutely won’t peek.”
Yao Ning snapped her head up, her expression a charming mix of shyness and annoyance. “Senior Brother, you know that’s not what I meant!”
“Then what did you mean?” Li Meng asked, his eyes crinkling with amusement.
“I… I’m ignoring you!” She turned her head away haughtily, downed her second cup of tea, and abruptly stood up. “I’m going back to Masked Moon Peak!”
Blushing furiously, she hurried toward the courtyard exit.
Li Meng called out to her retreating back, “Junior Sister, do you need me to give you a few second-grade Lightning Attraction Talismans for the road?”
Yao Ning paused, glancing over her shoulder to glare at him. “It’s not like I’m never coming back!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, her face burned even hotter. Moon Gaze Peak wasn’t her home. How could she speak of ‘coming back’ as if she lived here? Yet, after spending so much time by her Senior Brother’s side, she had subconsciously begun to view this place as exactly that.
Rising on the wind, Yao Ning summoned her sword and fled into the distance as if escaping a predator.
Watching her spirited figure disappear into the clouds, a wry smile touched Li Meng’s lips. “Strange. When did Junior Sister become so easily flustered?”
He leisurely lifted his teacup and took a slow sip. The tea truly was excellent today.
After basking in the warm sunlight for a while longer, Li Meng flicked his sleeve. Four massive golden characters materialized in the sky above Moon Gaze Peak: *Secluded Cultivation. Do Not Disturb!*
Approximately an incense stick of time later, the protective mists surrounding the peak rippled. Li Meng shot out of Moon Gaze Peak on his flying sword. A streak of brilliant sword light flashed across the sky, vanishing beyond the horizon in the blink of an eye.

Joyous Union Sect. Inner Sect Territory, Cloud Soaring Peak.
“Junior Li Meng pays his respects to Senior Wen!”
Hovering on his sword just outside the peak’s barrier, Li Meng projected his voice clearly into the swirling mists. In less than five breaths, the clouds parted, opening a clear passageway to the summit. A confident smile graced Li Meng’s lips as he leisurely rode his sword through the gap.
Arriving at the lakeside pavilion at the peak’s summit, Li Meng skimmed gracefully across the water’s surface, alighting within the structure without making a sound.
A graceful figure sat beside the stone table. Dressed in striking red and white robes, her temperament was a captivating blend of enchanting allure and icy aloofness, granting her an extraordinary, almost magnetic charm. Wen Huanhuan was currently nursing a pot of wine, a faint, intoxicating flush already blooming on her cheeks.
She cast a sidelong glance at her arriving Junior Nephew. With a flick of her slender, jade-like hand, a Formation token shot toward him. “If you come here spouting nonsense next time, I’ll beat you to death.”
Li Meng caught the token effortlessly, his smile never wavering. “Yes, this Junior Nephew obeys!”
Wen Huanhuan lifted the pot and took another heavy gulp. The sheer potency of the alcohol wafting through the air was enough to make Li Meng feel slightly lightheaded.
“What are you here for?” she asked, eyeing him suspiciously.
Unfazed, Li Meng stepped forward and took a seat right beside her. He openly admired the breathtakingly beautiful woman before him. “I simply missed you, Senior!”
Wen Huanhuan let out a cold scoff, refusing to dignify that with a response. She simply raised the pot and took another long drink.
Li Meng didn’t press the issue. He sat in comfortable silence, his gaze resting warmly on her as she drank. Under his unwavering, appreciative stare, a flicker of flustered annoyance finally broke through her icy facade.
“If you have no actual business here, then get lost!” she snapped. What was this brat doing? Staring at her with such shameless affection… it was giving her goosebumps.
Li Meng calmly produced a wine cup and set it on the stone table. “Let me admire you just a little longer.”
As he spoke, he smoothly plucked the wine pot right out of her grasp and poured himself a cup. Once his cup was full, he placed the pot back into her hands. Seeing her slightly dazed expression at his audacity, Li Meng offered a roguish smile.
He leisurely raised his cup and took a sip. The liquor was indeed incredibly potent, leaving a pleasant, fiery burn down his throat.
