Chapter 185: Night Meeting with Headmaster Senior
The thick clouds and mist shrouding the peak suddenly stirred.
A sharp streak of sword light pierced through the fog. In the blink of an eye, it shot across the horizon, disappearing into the night sky.
High among the cluster of floating peaks, Li Meng rode his flying sword.
Bathed in the cool, silvery moonlight, he looked the picture of carefree contentment, his robes fluttering in the wind.
“Tonight, I think I’ll pay a visit to Headmaster Senior’s place,” he mused to himself.
As the master of the entire Sect, there were certain matters only she could help him facilitate.
The night was already deep. A full moon hung high in the sky, illuminating the world below.
Greeting Moon Peak.
At the very top of the peak sat a grand pavilion surrounded by a vast sea of flowers.
The colorful blossoms emitted a faint, natural spiritual light. From a distance, the enormous pavilion looked as if it were floating amidst a dreamlike sea of stars.
On the upper floor of the pavilion.
Click. The subtle sound echoed as Li Meng gently pushed open the door to the master bedroom.
The room was deathly quiet and seemingly empty.
Unfazed, Li Meng strode toward the inner chamber. He brushed aside the hanging partition curtain and stepped inside.
The heavy curtains of the grand bed were already drawn shut.
Brilliant moonlight spilled through the window, faintly illuminating a curvaceous silhouette resting behind the drapes.
Reaching the bedside, Li Meng casually parted the curtains.
A breathtaking sight greeted his eyes.
Headmaster Senior lay on her side. Her beautiful eyes were tightly closed, and her breathing was long, steady, and rhythmic.
The undulating curve of her waist beneath the sheets was incredibly enticing and voluptuously plump.
Li Meng’s lips curled into a knowing grin.
Without a moment of hesitation, he deftly stripped off his outer robes.
He climbed onto the plush mattress and slid behind her, wrapping his arms tightly around her slender waist.
Li Qiushui was a Golden Core cultivator. There was absolutely no way she hadn’t noticed his arrival the moment he stepped foot on the peak.
Furthermore, the elaborate dress she was still wearing was formal Sect attire. No one slept comfortably in that.
Li Meng buried his face in her beautiful, fragrant hair. He inhaled deeply, intoxicated by the natural body fragrance radiating from her warm skin.
“Headmaster Senior,” Li Meng whispered directly into her ear, his voice teasing. “If you don’t make a sound, then this Junior won’t stand on ceremony.”
Li Qiushui’s eyelids twitched.
Not long after, the heavy bed curtains began to sway.
The serene quiet of the pavilion was thoroughly broken.
An unknown amount of time later, a warm light flickered to life in the upper floor bedroom.
“You…” Li Qiushui murmured breathlessly. “Sooner or later, you are going to take a massive fall because of women.”
Li Meng sat cross-legged on the bed, casually holding Headmaster Senior’s warm, soft body in his embrace.
Her cheeks were still flushed a deep, rosy pink. She reached out and lightly poked Junior Li right in the center of his forehead.
Li Meng chuckled, stroking his beard with the indifferent air of a wealthy sage.
“The women who can catch this Junior’s eye do not have malicious hearts,” he replied confidently. “And if this Junior truly misjudges them, then any suffering that follows is a punishment I deserve.”
Saying this, Li Meng tightened his arms around her delicate form.
Li Qiushui tilted her head, glancing at Junior Li’s handsome, slightly arrogant face.
“You didn’t come to Greeting Moon Peak tonight just for a secret rendezvous with me, did you?”
Li Meng smiled and flicked his sleeve.
A jade Sect token flew out from his Storage Bag sitting at the foot of the bed. He caught it effortlessly and pressed it into Headmaster Senior’s soft palm.
“Headmaster Senior knows that this Junior possesses the Five Spirit Roots waste body.” “My physique requires an astronomical amount of cultivation resources to advance. However, I cannot allow the Sect’s development to be hindered just to fund my cultivation. So, this Junior had an idea. I am not sure if it is appropriate.”
Li Qiushui leaned lazily against his bare chest, tracing circles on his skin. “Let’s hear it.”
A confident smile appeared on Li Meng’s lips.
“It’s like this: if this Junior simply exchanges 1,000,000 contribution points for rare spirit plants, it would likely drain the Sect’s reserves and impact our overall development. This Junior naturally does not want to put Headmaster Senior in a difficult position. Fortunately, this Junior possesses some talent in the path of alchemy. If the Sect could entrust the raw materials needed for Breakthrough Pills to me, I promise Headmaster Senior that the resulting Pill Quality will never fall below medium-grade.”
Li Qiushui’s expression shifted. A serious, thoughtful look replaced her post-coital daze.
Junior Li’s alchemy talent was indeed far from ordinary.
As the Sect Leader, she was well aware of the situation over at Moon Gaze Peak. The Pills her Junior produced were never of low quality. Almost all of them were High-grade Quality.
If Junior Li could mass-produce medium and high-grade Breakthrough Pills—like the Foundation Pill—it would be a monumental contribution to the Joyous Union Sect.
If every Qi Condensation disciple possessed a medium or high-grade Foundation Pill, the number of Inner Disciples could easily multiply several times over.
Furthermore, having such high-quality Pills as a foundational resource would attract countless rogue cultivators to join their ranks.
The more Li Qiushui thought about it, the more fervent her gaze became.
She pulled away from his embrace, her eyes burning as she looked at Li Meng.
“What about Flawless Quality?” she asked breathlessly. Flawless Pills were the ultimate driving force for any Sect’s expansion.
Li Meng narrowed his eyes and stroked his beard.
“Two or three out of ten,” he stated calmly.
Li Qiushui’s pupils contracted sharply. A monstrous wave of shock surged through her heart.
A 20 to 30 percent Success Rate for Flawless Quality?
Was… was that even possible?
“Truly?”
A hoarse, ancient voice suddenly echoed inside the bed curtains.
A hunched old woman had materialized by the bedside at some unknown moment. She looked down at the two entangled figures on the bed with a kind, amused smile.
The blood drained from Li Qiushui’s face before rushing back with a vengeance, turning her entirely crimson.
She scrambled to her knees on the mattress, desperately trying to cover her voluptuous figure.
“M-Master!”
Li Qiushui’s Master?
Li Meng narrowed his eyes, sizing up the old woman.
Could this be the Supreme Elder from Pill King Peak? Without a trace of embarrassment, Li Meng slipped out from under the covers naked. He retrieved his robes from the foot of the bed, calmly dressed himself, and then offered a deep, respectful bow to the old woman.
“Disciple Li Meng pays his respects to Ancestor.”
The old woman chuckled, looking at Li Meng with approval. “You haven’t answered my question yet, boy.”
Li Meng straightened his back, meeting her gaze. “This disciple never speaks falsely.”
The Ancestor looked him up and down. A look of deep satisfaction and gratification crossed her ancient features, and she nodded.
“Good. Although you possess the Five Spirit Roots waste body, your aura is extraordinary. Your tribulation has passed, and your future upon the Great Dao is promising. You will simply have to work much harder than cultivators of the same rank. Good, very good. I look forward to your future achievements. I hope that one day, you will grow strong enough to call me Senior Sister.”
With those final words, the old woman vanished into thin air, leaving only a faint residual aura behind.
Li Meng narrowed his eyes at the empty space.
So this is the Nascent Soul cultivator’s supernatural power, “Teleportation”? Although the Qi consumption for such a technique was immense, it was undeniably the ultimate way to make a dramatic exit.
“It’s all your fault! We… we were discovered by Master!”
Headmaster Senior’s resentful, trembling voice sounded from the bed.
Li Qiushui slumped back onto the mattress, burying her face in her hands. She was thoroughly humiliated.
To be caught by her own Master fooling around in bed with a Junior… it was simply too shameful!
Li Meng chuckled. He turned around, climbed back into bed, and pulled the mortified Headmaster Senior back into his arms.
“Ancestor didn’t seem to mind, did she? Don’t worry, Headmaster Senior.”
Li Qiushui shot him a vicious glare. She balled her hands into fists and began lightly pounding against his chest.
“It’s your fault, it’s your fault, it’s all your fault…”
A smug smile touched Li Meng’s lips. He didn’t block her strikes, simply letting her vent.
Her punches carried no real force. Headmaster Senior was just dying of embarrassment.
After a long while, Li Qiushui finally stopped.
She let out a long, heavy sigh and melted completely into his embrace, resting her chin on his shoulder.
“Since Master has personally intervened, we will do as you suggested,” she whispered. “What are your conditions?”
“Thirty percent of the raw spirit plants provided for alchemy belong to me,” Li Meng demanded casually.
“You can have thirty percent,” Li Qiushui countered, “but each furnace must yield no less than five successful Pills.”
“Deal.”
Li Meng narrowed his eyes in satisfaction, tightening his grip on her warm, soft body.
The materials required for Breakthrough Pills were all incredibly rare spirit plants.
