Chapter 270: Senior Wen’s Instructions
“Se… Senior?”
Wen Huanhuan walked into the room, her face expressionless.
Li Meng didn’t step aside. He spread his arms wide, welcoming her into his embrace.
She frowned slightly, intending to sidestep him, but Li Meng moved faster. He took a step forward, wrapping his arms around her.
Her warm, soft body fell into his grasp.
Bang.
The door slammed shut behind her.
“What are you doing?” she asked, glancing up at him.
Li Meng grinned shamelessly. He lowered his head and captured her red lips.
Wen Huanhuan’s pupils contracted, and her cheeks flushed. She didn’t struggle, nor did she refuse. She simply responded silently to his delightful rudeness.
For a moment, they stood locked in a passionate embrace against the door.
Slap!
Wen Huanhuan swatted his hand as it wandered too far south.
Li Meng didn’t stop. Since he’d already been hit, he might as well earn it. Besides, her resistance was purely symbolic; after that one slap, she let him do as he pleased.
After a long while, he pulled back. They gazed into each other’s eyes. Wen Huanhuan looked like she wanted to say something, but turned her head away instead.
Li Meng grinned. He scooped her up into a princess carry and strode toward the inner chamber.
“Aren’t… aren’t we going to the Market City?” she stammered, lightly punching his chest.
“The market isn’t going anywhere,” Li Meng said, admiring her flushed, enchanting face. “There’s no rush.”
Wen Huanhuan scoffed. “But this is urgent?”
Li Meng pecked her cheek. “To this Junior, this is the most urgent matter in the world!”
She glared at him, speechless. She truly didn’t understand the appeal of carnal desire. Even for Joyous Union disciples, dual cultivation was about energy exchange, not pure indulgence.
“Senior, did you miss me?”
“Don’t… don’t talk nonsense!”
“I missed you to death.”
“That’s so corny. Shut up!”
“Is it wrong to miss you?”
“You… you…”
Li Meng placed her on the bed, looming over her. “Senior, I am right here.”
He reached out, tracing the curve of her cheek. The raw desire in his eyes made her heart race. She felt exposed, her body turning liquid under his gaze.
Did he drug me? she wondered dizzily. Why am I so sensitive?
As a Golden Core cultivator, her physical desires should have been ash. Only deep emotional connection could ignite this kind of fire.
She reached up, her fingers brushing his face. Could it be… I really love him?
The thought terrified her.
No. I just care about him a little. That’s all.
“Senior, what are you thinking?” Li Meng teased, flicking her nose.
“You are being presumptuous!” she snapped, embarrassed.
“Haha! Then today, I shall be presumptuous to the end!”
He laughed and kissed her again, hard. Her eyes were fierce, but her body betrayed her, wrapping around him like a vine.
The bed curtains fell.
Two hours later.
A pale, slender hand pushed aside the curtains. Wen Huanhuan slipped out of bed, her body a masterpiece of white jade.
Li Meng lay back, watching her bend to retrieve her dress. The curve of her waist was breathtaking.
Sensing his gaze, she straightened and glared at him.
Li Meng grinned, a look of pure satisfaction on his face. “Senior, you are truly beautiful!”
She rolled her eyes and started to dress. Feeling his eyes on her front, she turned around—only to realize her back was just as exposed.
“Senior, turn around again!” Li Meng suggested helpfully.
She scowled and ignored him, finishing her dressing with quick, efficient movements.
“Go to the Market City by yourself,” she said, smoothing her robes. “It’s a rare opportunity to gather resources. Don’t waste it.”
Li Meng sat up cross-legged. “Senior has plans?”
“Senior Brother and I are Golden Core cultivators. We have our own circles.”
Li Meng rubbed his nose awkwardly. Right. He wasn’t invited to the high-level gatherings.
“Go to the Ascending Immortal Tower,” she advised, turning to face him. “Foundation Establishment prodigies from all the major sects gather there. It’s good to broaden your horizons.”
She continued, “The Jiang Family built their wealth on hunting sea beasts. If you need materials, the market has everything. For high-level items, try the auction house.”
She looked him in the eye, her expression serious.
“You dislike conflict. That’s good. Don’t cause trouble, but don’t fear it either. Just don’t kill anyone. If you must act… be ruthless. Sever their cultivation path to prevent future threats. With three Supreme Elders on the island, no one will dare touch a hair on your head.”
Li Meng got out of bed and hugged her from behind.
“Senior, what if I get beaten to death?”
“Hmph. Serves you right!”
She pushed him away hard enough to make him stumble back onto the bed. She looked at his disheveled state with a gleam of triumph.
Brat. That’s what you get for bullying me.
With a flash of light, she flew out the window.
Li Meng laughed, watching her go. He stood up and began to dress, humming a tune.
